Good god, how hard is it to read and or add a bit of context to an email?  Apparently, it causes excruciating pain.  🙄

Last week, one of our vendors sent me an email saying he made a mistake and put the wrong job number on an invoice.  It shouldn't have been Project X, it should have been the big hospital project.  I appreciated that because we have to track everything for the hospital and will be audited when it's done.  Which should be August, thank the gods.

Anyway, I forwarded it to my co-worker who is handling that aspect of the job and put in the emal, "See R's notes below."  Five minutes later, he's at my desk and says, "Did you know that invoice has the wrong job number on it?"  I look at him for a solid minute, wondering WTF he's on about.  Then it hits me and I ask, "Did you read the email?"  He says, "No, I didn't think I needed to."  EVEN THOUGH I TOLD HIM TO DO EXACTLY THAT IN THE EMAIL.

Okay, fine, whatever.

Fast forward to ten minutes ago when he forwards me an email with zero context.  Just the original email asking about the kinds of jobs we bid on, our bid limit, etc.  Since one of the questions was whether we could provide a certificate of insurance, I guessed maybe that was why he sent it to me.  But, just to be safe, I make sure to clarify and ask if he's looking for a cert or if he wants me to answer all the contractor's questions.  Shocker, he expects me to respond to all of it, even though HE is the estimator.

And yanno, MAYBE SPECIFY THAT IN THE EMAIL?  I shouldn't have to repsond to you and ask what I'm supposed to do.  Or, at least, I don't think that I should!  If I'm doing your job for you, give me that much, please.

I swear to god every day he gets more and more up his own ass.  It took him longer to forward and respond to me than it would have taken him to answer the questions himself.

Anyway, how's your day going?  🤣

And as tax for being a whiner, I give you Da Boiz.

And because I promised [livejournal.com profile] sharpiesgal a photo, here is my UT Longhorn beanie baby I got at Bush Intercontinental back in 2008.

I mean my current boy is not huge, but he's the biggest (I think one of the girls is the fattest though...).

Exactly. I guess it's better to be in the loop I don't need than out of the loop I do need.

Being bigger (as in taller, longer, etc) than the girls is normal, generally speaking. Fawkes is still the smallest of all four. LOL

Right? There could be a quiz later. :D

True indeed. Aaaww. Are the boys sharing a brain cell like most orange boys?

With my luck, there will be a quiz.

Yes, they are very much ORANGE in every sense of the world.

Hahaha... same.

Hahaha that's fantastic. I do adore orange kitties. I'll have some decisions to make when I lose my boy. (Which hopefully won't be for years.)

Ugh I felt like there was a quiz with some of my "other" duties these past few weeks.

Yeah, these two have been something else. I know what you mean, it was hard losing Nayla, I can't even imagine losing any of the four we have now, all of which we'd had since they were babies. Taylor told me that when Violet's time comes, I have to tell her she ran away, because she won't be able to handle the truth.

Hah, sounds like my life in general!

:-) This last when I lost Hades was the first time I've been able to be in the room with them when it happens. So I completely know how Taylor feels.

Yes! LOL lord I need more hats.

I agree, Nayla was my first as well in that sense. Was lucky enough to be able to have both of the girls with me when it happened, too. Poor vet cried with us. :(

Taylor and Violet are very much bonded. Since she's moved out, Violet will go into Taylor's room, sit on the floor and meow.

Right? We could be Mr. Smeds and Mr. Spats.

(If the hyperlink doesn't work this time, Imma lose it, I swear.)

I think that's the hardest part about being a pet parent.

Aaaww poor Violet!

Hahahha yes indeed. I've threatened to get a hat and put on it what I'm working on so people know.

BAD HYPERLINK!

It absolutely is. She let us know she was ready, so that helped.

She does pretty good most of the time, but I know she misses her girl. And when Taylor comes to visit, man does that cat RUN to her.

Hahaha!

UGH. I swear the HTML was fine, but... UGH. Fixed it though finally.

That's good. Hades was similar. And I couldn't allow him to suffer. I think the hardest part was how young he was.

Aaaww that's adorable.

LOL hate when that happens.

Aw, poor guy. Nayla was 11, which is middle aged, but was still hard.

It's extra cute in person because she has these short little legs like a corgi. And watching her run is hilarious.

Same. Like it's simple, how DID I goof it up this time?

From: [identity profile] shanachie-quill.livejournal.com

Yeah. He had FLV though so we didn't expect a long life. For sure expected more than 3 years though (and like 18 months from his diagnosis).

Hahaha omg that sounds hysterical.

It wasn't you, it was the HTML.

Oh no, poor baby. :( A friend has a cat with FLV right now.

I should look to see if I have any videos of her running, it's too funny.

Yes, blame it on the HTML. :D

Yeah. It's not fun. I had one who was a carrier once, but I've never had one with it.

It sounds it!

Exactly. It was giving me fits also.

It's a rough life for a kitty, for sure.

She's a nut, that cat.

ALWAYS.

From: [identity profile] shanachie-quill.livejournal.com

It is. I'm glad that I was able to give him a good life.

She sounds like it. It's adorable.

I see they have a little "link" button so maybe that works better.

Yup, he was well-fed, comfortable, and loved. You can't ask for more.

I love that cat. :D

It does. I'd forgotten about it, but it's what I used the last attempt. DOH.

Cannot. And considering I got him because my friend's dog caught him... definately a better life.
