The Update No One Asked For

I tried to do this last night and got sidetracked...

[livejournal.com profile] kaige68: I see your challenge of 1k words by Saturday and I have raised it to over 2k IN ONE DAY and I pounded out half of chapter 3.  THANK YOU I LOVE YOU because I needed that yesterday.  My July total is going to suck big, fat man hooters so maybe August will be better with this boost.

[livejournal.com profile] haldoor, my dear, I think I finally did come up with a way to do exactly what you want me to do.  So, um, stay tuned.

Now... I need to go tend to a boy fresh off his first date in a very, very long time...

1:30 PST EDIT: Haldoor you *%*#%&#... you have no idea what you started yesterday.  And now I can't stop and I have this afwul feeling it ISN'T GOING TO END WELL.  But um, you will get your wish.  2500 words in and I'm not even close (nor are they either...).

SQUEE!!! So glad that you are inspired by being poked! I aim to poke!!

HA!

I may need more coffee, or a nap, or both.

[identity profile] asphaltcowgrrl.livejournal.com 2015-08-07 07:28 pm (UTC)(link)
You need to poke me more often! *insert suggestive comment here* I managed to write a little over 4k that DAY and wound up with 10k for the week.

My suggestion: nap, then coffee. Coffee before nap never ends in a nap. :D

Sadly, no time for napping, need to drive through evil Friday-night-people-heading-to-Maine-for-vacation traffic, and then FANTASTIC FOUR!

So coffee it is!

10K?! AWESOME!

[identity profile] asphaltcowgrrl.livejournal.com 2015-08-07 07:57 pm (UTC)(link)
HOORAY FOR FANTASTIC FOUR! But OMG, on the traffic. I know how it is when people are coming in from/going back to Cali here.

Yay! Coffee! And maybe I shouldn't mention that I just read an article about a pastor who is accusing Starbucks of flavoring their coffee with gay semen?

I was shocked. SHOCKED. :D So thank you!

[identity profile] kaige68.livejournal.com 2015-08-07 08:06 pm (UTC)(link)
How would he know what gay semen tastes like? Does it taste different than straight semen, or bi semen? Has this pastor been going around asking for donations so as to make comparisons? And maybe his barista just has a crush on him and thinks he can make the pastor love him. Or maybe his son told him that to keep him from coming to the local Starbucks/hang out and embarrassing him?

OMG! There is so much direction for fic in that one sentence of yours!!! OMG!!

When asked for evidence, the pastor notes, “you may not be able to find my explanation suitable to meet the empirical standards. but let’s just say i know.” (Quoted from ONTD). So, um... take that as you will. :D But good lord... of all the things to say. And how specific, too. I'm pretty good pals with my local baristas, one of which is married with five kids. I cannot wait to tell her about this.

Hahaha... makes that coffee shop AU all the more intriguing, eh? I bet you don't stop for Starbucks now, huh?

Maybe he stumbled across a corporate report about giving bonuses for gay ejaculate!

I'm a Dunkin girl (east coast), they've been putting it in for years!

Hahahaha... I wouldn't put anything past some people or some companies.

I LOVE DD! But, of the two nearest me/the office, I have to go several miles out of my way to get there. :/ So, I wait until I have an uncontrollable craving for a donut. There are actually TWO Starbucks within walking distance from my house (although one is inside my grocery store).

In my small little Shoe City we have seven. One starbucks. None of them are - no wait, there is another one inside of Target, so two. But yeah, I'm not a fan of how acidic and heavy the coffee is. I like smooth, and Dunking gives me what I need. *boomchickawahwah*

[identity profile] asphaltcowgrrl.livejournal.com 2015-08-08 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
DD really MUST be an East Cost thing! But then, Starbucks is from Seattle, which is essentially just up the road, geographically speaking, from here. I agree that Dunkin's coffee is much smoother and less acidic.

hehehehehe... werk it, gurl. :D
