A Funny + A Thing
See below.
So, I went out and bought myself a calendar to hang near my desk. Last year, I put it off and wound up stuck with a freebie from one of our vendors and I spent all of last year looking at trench plates. I swore that wouldn't happen this year.
Anyway, the first calendar I found was a Supernatural themed one and as much as I'd love having Jensen Ackles' sweet face a foot from me, I am the only female in our entire company and would get no end of harassment over a calendar like THAT. So, I opted for my second choice - The Argyle Sweater. If you're not familar with this comic, it's very much like The Far Side from many years ago. Same offbeat sense of humor. This is January's comic:
This cracks me up on so many levels. But who else is suddenly wanting crack!fic where Zek and Reyes pull over a clown à la Cameron Tucker? Oh, so it's only me? Huh, who knew? ;)
As for the other... have you ever felt the need to talk to someone about something but hesitated reaching out because you felt like you were being ridiculous about said situation? That's where I am today. I feel... deflated... and yet, I also feel like it's all my fault for taking things more seriously than I should. Eh, whatever, right?
