I've asked my boss if I could keep the paychecks in the office (on payday the checks go to the jobsites with our foremen and they hand them out) and make the employee come in to get it. He always says WE CAN'T DO THAT! Um, yes you can. All the law says is that you have to PAY your employees. So, in other words, they'll never learn.
