Yes, actually I can. I wrote a whole fic where they're not only on track but actively supporting each other while Andrej's out of the country. So, it can happen. LOL And I don't know about opposite agendas either. Opposite personalities and priorities, sure. But their agenda is the same in the end - to be happy and with Andrej.
Outside of the first chapter(?) where he outright tells Zayne he's causing the problem, I don't think he does it again. Andrej has his own issues going on and he even apologizes to Zayne for being uncommunicative.
James is a stubborn ass. Having spent 22 years married to a man just like that, sometimes you have to have the same conversation several times before they decide to agree with you. It's exhausting. Things went better this second go round, but there will always be something to work on in a relationship like this.
