One of those days
And before we get into it, I'm not saying it's been a BAD day, but just... a DAY. Plus, it's only 10:36 at the moment. *sigh*
So far this morning, I've gotten two emails from contractors needing me to correct my invoices. This is not uncommon because sometimes John overestimates where we'll be at the end of the month and the contractor's not having it. Sometimes, my math is off. Sometimes, I'm just an idiot, like today.
The first was exceptionally dumb. In one portion of the pay application, I forgot to change the month from May to June. What's worse is, I do this EVERY MONTH. Devin must think I'm stupid at this point.
The second wasn't nearly as stupid, but it still makes me feel dumb. On the schedule of values (a spreadsheet showing all the phases of work and breakdown by dollar amount), the bottom line didn't calculate properly. Weird thing is, my formula was correct and all the lines of data were included. So, um, Excel? TF are you doing?
I do know that I recently updated my Office programs and this form was originally created on Office 98 or some shit, so maybe that's why it's glitching. Which worries me because several contractors require the AIA forms and... who knows how many others are incorrect. *headdesk* I do my best to double check, but sometimes, the phone is crazy, the office is crazy, and I'm a bit crazy, so I miss things.
So now I cringe every time I see that little envelope appear in the bottom right corner of my taskbar. FU, Office. F. U.
And how are YOU doing today? HAHAHAAH.
