Question time!
I was scrolling Reddit this morning and came across a post that said, "F- your favorite song, tell me your absolute least favorite song." And the replies were interesting.
So, that's your question. What song do you absolutely loathe? And post a link (YouTube, Spotify) if you dare. I'm curious! And bored! And um, well, stressed and bordering on depressed so... POST AWAY!
Mine:
Sally (That Girl) by Gucci Crew II. Troy absolutely LOVED this song and would crank it in the car whenever it came on. I nearly climbed out the sunroof on the Strip one night to get away from it. 🤣 I apologize in advance if you do listen.
Hit me with your worst!

Mariah Carey's All I want for Christmas. LOATHE IT, cannot get it off playing fast enough. CANNOT!
CANNOT!

As someone who isn't a fan of Mariah Carey to begin with — YES! 100%!

I turned on the TV the other day and she was one of the ads on Fire TV and I was LIVID!!

That ought to be a violation of the Geneva Convention!

*nods emphatically*
Also, I ordered myself some beautiful yarn, but it is multi-color and I don't want to make a sweater where either the pattern of the sweater gets lost in the yarn or the pattern of the yarn gets lost in the sweater (does that make sense). So I typed into google "Plus size sweater pattern for v" with the intention of finishing it as variegated yarn, however auto-complete did not have my back today. Plus size sweater pattern for verizon users.
Thought you might laugh.

"Verizon" is a much better v-word than I was anticipating. 🤣 And yes, what you said made sense even to a non-knitter!
I made an impulse buy at Target on Saturday. They had all of their coffee makers on sale so I treated myself to the one I was promised two years ago and never got. It's a Ninja single serve that does pods and grounds! And then Rhett surprised me today by giving me cash for it. I haven't used it yet, but will be after lunch because it's cold here today (for here)!

That's what C said too, but my worry is why different phone users need different knitting patterns. Does the pattern change if I use sprint or AT&T? What if I have Verizon but am knitting for someone with T-Mobil.
YAY cash for Ninja!!! Let me know how you like it!
no subject
Hah! Oh man, that would be troublesome, wouldn't it? I'd hate to be out in your Verizon sweater and not be able to get service on my AT&T!
I just made my first cup and it's nice! Brews pretty fast and the cup I made was a touch strong. LOL And it was on sale for $80, so bonus.

Yay for a new coffee maker! Enjoy it. We have a Kurieg at work, but have nothing but decaf coffee (which I can't drink coffee anyway so I don't care.)
I'll throw it back to the 80s. I hate The Safety Dance by Men without Hats.
no subject
Mine at home does both hot and iced coffee and tea! But I wasn't about to put out $250 for work. LOL Ugh, I don't mind decaf, but I wouldn't want it all the time.
Aw, I love this song, actually. And another by them — "Pop Goes the World". But it is very cheesy and corny so I get why you might not.
no subject
Wow that one's nice! Nooo, I don't blame you for not wanting to spend that on something for work. Exactly! It's fine, I have a tea kettle in my office so I get hot cocoa and tea whenever I want (and remember to keep a mug at work).
There's just something about it that annoys me.

It's a Ninja and I love it! Four years in and it's still going strong. Hahaha — no joke. I was going to get one like Kaige suggested (a Hamilton Beach), but the Ninja was on sale. That's nice when you can have your things when you want them. Makes the day easier sometimes.
We all have songs like that.

Sweet! I've not had good luck with HB, but they are a good product.
no subject
I've never had one of their coffee makers, but have had other appliances of theirs and never had an issue.
no subject
I've purchased two toaster ovens and neither one lasted more than two years so I'm kinda meh. Also the mixer I purchased couldn't even mix a batch of cookies.
no subject
Ugh, that sucks. I have a Kitchen Aid stand mixer my MIL got me the first Christmas Troy and I were married — 1997 — and it's still a beast. My mom did have a Hamilton Beach stand mixer that lasted forever.

When I was in grade school, my brother and I would go home for lunch. I'd always want to get done quickly in order to enjoy the little recess time that we had, but my mom would always make us wait until the end of whatever song was on the radio, which always seemed to be "American Pie" or the Richard Harris version of MacArthur Park (which was horrible because had a wild bridge that made you think the song was over only to get hit with "Someone left the cake out in the rain" a few minutes later.) The disco version of it is pretty awesome though.
An actually more despised other choice is that one song by Kid Rock that steals the opening chords of "Werewolves of London" and is very much NOT "Werewolves of London". If I can't "Arroooo", there's no point. Deceptive f-ing song that I won't link because I despise it so much.

I LOVE the Donna Summer version of MacArthur's Park!
And yes, 100%, having to wait for American Pie to end would have given me tantrums!
no subject
Okay, that Donna Summer song is something else I don't think I'd ever heard before. She's fabulous though, so how could you not love it?
But have you heard the Weird Al parody?
no subject
Of MacArthur's Park, no. Of American Pie, yes. ;)
no subject
HAH! Sorry, I should have specified. 🤦
no subject
Unless it was a song I loved, that would have annoyed me to no end. But when it's an epically long song like American Pie... Don't think I've ever heard this version of MacArthur Park though. Hmm.
HAH! That Kid Rock song got a lot of hate in the Reddit thread I was reading yesterday, so you're not alone there.
no subject
Aw. I'm sorry you were down. :\. I hope it has passed, or that it will soon. Sucks to feel that way.
As for me, I remember a better time in my life. A time, minutes ago, when I had never heard Sally (That Girl). 😂. That... is bad.
When I was a kid I liked Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline just fine. It's catchy, it's breezy, all good. But the whole thing with people feeling the need to fill in the Ba Ba Ba part has wrecked it for me. Anytime it's on, my nerves are on edge waiting for the
stupidityinevitable to start. Lol. **PS, sorry if that is offensive, if anyone loves the Ba Ba Ba part, my apologies**no subject
It's okay, this time of year does it to me. I'll be fine in a couple of weeks, Maddie's birthday is January 4. :)
HAHAHAHA. I'm so sorry. God is it awful.
OMG, yes. I can see singing those bits, but some people have to be so over the top aggressive about it! I do love that song though.

It is probably leftover trauma from working retail at the mall in my teens. They played a handful of songs on a loop for a month straight and this one was one of them. I have hated ever since. lol
I would also try to crawl out the sunroof if I was forced to listen to that song.

HAHAHA! I saw someone on the initial Reddit thread said it sounded like Paul had just gotten his first keyboard and was trying to figure out what each button did. 🤣 I'm a huge fan of Paul McCartney, but I can absolutely understand why you hate it!
