A Whole Lot of Nothing
I can’t manage to get anything written this month. So, I thought I’d put down some random thoughts in hope that it spurs me to write something. ANYTHING. So, bear with me as I drain my brain onto this poor, undeserving page.
Silly stuff:
In my Book Gorilla email this morning, I found an e-book boxed set called – wait for it – the ROMANIAN Mob Chronicles by Kaye Blue. I’m like WHAT ON EARTH HAS ANDY AND HIS BROTHERS DONE NOW? (And was Zayne and/or James involved?) Book one has an average 3.5 star rating on Goodreads, but books two and three are 3.9 and 4.03 so I splurged and wasted a whole $0.99 on these three books. I will report back later.
In other book related news, a book someone pointed out to me as bunny fodder was being offered for free on Amazon. So I now have Reckless in Texas on my Kindle, too. It was bundled with another Carolyn Brown book, How to Marry a Cowboy. I cannot WAIT for my 15-year-old to spot that one. Hah. She loves busting my chops in regards to my *inappropriate* reading material. If she only knew…
Ranting stuff:
Since my house is overflowing with print books, I use a website called PaperBackSwap to get them out of the house and request the occasional book I can’t find via the library or cheaply on Kindle (also, I hate reading manga on my Kindle, it’s just not the same). One of the manga I posted on Sunday has been requested, which is always a beautiful thing but… BUT… the requesting party had a condition. Usually, these aren’t a big deal. No books from smoking homes. Dust jackets required. Those are things I can get behind. But this request?
I need the tracking number. You can send it to me as a PM.
What this means is that I have to spend an additional $0.55 to include tracking on the book I am sending you. For FREE. Bitch, check thyself. It really bugs me when people put these kinds of conditions on books that they’re getting for free. (Or relatively so – I think there’s a $0.49 fee for each request to help keep the site running, but that’s nothing when a paperback will cost you at least $5.99 in the stores). I’ll l cave and do it, but it aggravates me to no end.
In you can’t make this up news:
A woman in Venezuela was visiting her boyfriend in prison. When she went to see him, she brought along a large, pink suitcase. Now here, you wouldn’t get INSIDE with that suitcase, let alone be able to take it with you to visit the incarcerated person. However, apparently, in Venezuela, you can. When the woman was leaving, the guards noticed she was struggling with the suitcase so they stopped her, opened it up and found Jose – her boyfriend – inside. What the actual hell woman? I almost drove off the road I was laughing so hard when I heard this. So yeah, she’s now serving time as well. Idiots.
Embarrassing stuff:
Why does Seether’s fmlyhm ALWAYS come on while my boss is by my desk? And WHY DO I ALWAYS HAVE TO SING ALONG ONLY TO REALIZE IT’S NOT WORK APPROPRIATE?
That’s all for now. I keep hoping that inspiration will strike and yet… nothing so far.

I know how you are feeling on the inspiration front. I have a big bang rough draft due in two weeks and nothing written, which is so frustrating.
I hope you like your cowboy novels.
And, maybe the person asking for the tracking number has been burnt before or has had maiil stollen out of her box, or is OCD to the point of ridiculousness.
Hmmm.... there's an idea. One of the boys is constantly checking their phone to see if something they ordered has arrived and gets their chops busted for it by the girls or Travis is doing it because he wants to surprise Ethan.

Ugh, I hope the inspiration bunny finds you soon! You'll get this done, I have faith!
I'm sure I will. And if I don't, they were free, right? :D She's a pretty popular romance author though so I'm not worried.
That's a valid point because I know I've had a couple get lost in the mail but... they refund your credit if your book doesn't arrive so you can request again. I do get it, it's just annoying and I was annoyed enough to begin with this morning!
Wait, did Zayne order another stripper gram? That is a good idea though, especially considering how curious and incorrigible both Travis and Zayne are.

That sounds about Zayne's speed...lol

At the station.

Aww Jesus...,
He would too, and the shit would definitely hit the fan.

I love the suitcase story. Those are a couple of dumb bunnies. Though, I like to think the suitcase had rollers and they figured that it would make it work - give them some benefit if the doubt. Maybe they didn't consider that even with rollers a grown damn human's gonna be cumbersome in a suitcase. Lol...
You know what they say about when you're stuck writing - try writing something completely different. Like.... write Dean watching Castiel eat a chocolate ice cream cone on a really hot summer day. Cas is deeply intent on it, because finally he's found a food he can damn well taste. Dean is losing his mind. Sam's laughing his butt off. Oh, wait... I might need to write that. :|
But you know what I mean...

Hah - GO FOR IT! I'd totally read that... after I ran out for ice cream first. :D
And yes, I absolutely do! I do actually have something else I can work on. Now, to find the time!
