Little Pink Pills (Romani Detective Original Fiction)
Title: Little Pink Pills
Fandom: Romani Detective Original Fiction
Pairing: Andrej Zeklos/James Rosewood/Zayne Reyes, Jake Hansen/Hilary Maxwell, and poor Trish Rollins, happily single
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 395
Summary: Andrej and Zayne recover a baggie of pills off a suspect and aren’t sure if they’re illegal or not.
Author’s Note: Written for the numbers challenge at 1_million_words. The prompt was 174 and when I did a Google search for it, I was rewarded with a picture of little pink pills. LOL
“We could ask Jay,” Andrej said, turning the bag with the small, pink pills in it over in his hands. They were marked with a black 174 on their Pepto-pink shell. “I do not think I have ever seen these before.”
“I don’t think they’re a narcotic,” Trish said, looking over his shoulder, “but checking with the narcos is going to be your best bet.”
“I’ll text Jake,” Hilary said. “He and Rosewood are on their way back to the station from lunch anyway. I’ll have them swing by on their way here.”
“You do know they have to go past narcotics to get here, right, Hil?”
“Go to hell, Zayne,” Hilary teased. “If you can work with your boyfriend, I can see mine occasionally.”
“And as it works out,” Trish laughed, “they get to see their boyfriend, too.”
**
“Okay, what do you have,” James asked, holding out his hand.
Andrej placed the evidence bag in James’ outstretched hand. “We found these on a suspect this morning. I have never seen them before.”
James looked at them carefully before handing the bag over to Jake. “Well,” James said, grinning and handing the bag over. “You don’t have to add charges to whatever you’ve already laid on your suspect.”
“Not controlled substances,” Zayne asked.
“Hardly,” Jake laughed. “But not that either of you would know that.”
“So, what are they,” Trish finally asked.
“Laxatives,” James laughed. “And generic ass ones, too.”
“Oh for the love of God,” Zayne groaned. “Sorry to waste your time.”
“Nah, don’t apologize,” James said, patting Zayne on the back. “Better to ask and feel silly then let someone walk with a pocket full of something illegal.”
“Although,” Jake said with a big grin, “considering how many of these things he has, I wonder what the hell his problem is.”
“Drug mule,” Zayne snorted. “Or he has a really, really crappy diet.”
“You’d know, Reyes,” Jake laughed.
“Thank you for your help,” Andrej said.
“Anytime,” Jake said. “Seriously. It’s what we’re here for.”
“They’re never going to let us live that down, are they,” Zayne asked after the two narcotics detectives had left.
“Not likely,” Trish said. “But you’re sleeping with one and she’s sleeping with the other,” she added, hooking her thumb in Hilary’s direction. “So, that gives you at least a fair chance at getting even if they try.”

This doesn't include the box of hardwritten stuff I have somewhere.

Almost all of mine is stored in my Dropbox. I should make a copy on my backup drive, I suppose. And the stuff that's handwritten needs to be burned. It's... bad. But it's mostly from middle school and high school so...

Ah yeah that's a good idea. I haven't installed Dropbox on my new computer... I should do that and then clean it out. LOL I feel ya. I've still got a handwritten copy of the first novel I wrote, but that shit is NEVER seeing the light of day.

Dropbox and Onedrive make my life so much easier. Haha - yeah, some stuff should be left in the closet.

Yeah I'm sure on DB and OD. Lord, I have a LOT of stories that should be left in the closet... but I just can't throw them out. (Although I did throw out a bunch of things before we moved to Georgia.)

Zayne's LJ is tx_cowboy_love so that's probably why it came out like that. Hahaha. But what I'm reading right now is about a southern boy turned country music star.

Umm... I was thinking of the John Michael Montgomery song... but yes, I can imagine it works the same way.
Now you know I kinda wanna go look that up...

Hah! There are only a handful of posts there, I need to write some more because his passive-aggressive journaling is a lot of fun.

Pamprin or Pepto not a generic laxative.
Nice to see Hilary and Jake as a couple.

It's something called Bisacodyl and is made by Equaline/Supervalu. The things you can learn from the internet.
Thanks. I've been working my way towards this but had a chance to get them there yet. One more thing for the list I suppose. I'd set Trish up, too, but I think she's content making fun of the ones already paired/trioed up. LOL

They make a good couple. I think Trish is happy sitting back and busting everybody's chops.
