Hell's Bells
...and then some.
I wasn't surprised when our first employee tested positive for COVID-19. The majority of our work currently is in the hospitals. I also wasn't too worried because early on, my bosses decided that the field workers shouldn't come up into the office in the afternoons unless absolutely necessary. This limited our (the office people) potential exposure.
The first three to test positive were all plumbers and not foremen, so I wasn't too overly concerned here either, because I rarely, if ever, come into contact with these guys.
I started getting worried when our first foreman tested positive. Ari's super sweet and seeing him always makes me happy. However, he was smart when he did come upstairs, he wore his mask and kept his distance.
This morning, I discovered one of our other foremen - Eddie - might possibly be positive as well. He's sick, he's getting tested. Trouble is, Eddie ALWAYS comes over to see me. He's my buddy and he's called me trouble from the day he met me 22 years ago. LOL Yes, he's been wearing his mask, thankfully, but he doesn't keep 6' away either. But then, Eddie's always had personal space issues. (Reminds me of someone else I know...)
Add to this the information that Rhett (my boss Jeff's son), who started working in the office a few weeks ago, is out today, sick. Jeff says he has 'a little flu, but it's not that'. Sure, okay, is he getting tested? Also, last week, Rhett and Joel were on a jobsite for a meeting and Rhett was talking to one of our guys who tested positive the day after. So, um, Jeff, please tell me he's getting tested, okay?
Anyway, just wanted to get that out of my system so I can focus on other things. On the bright side, my boss, Jeff, must have gone to Utah over the weekend because there was a case of peaches on my desk this morning. The girls will be thrilled.
I hope you're all safe and healthy! So far, so good here. *knocks on wood*
(LMAO, I see you, Spotify, pulling that song up just as I was about to add the music to this post. Zayne says he feels so seen.)

That sounds stressful, but definitely necessary right now. It's good that they're trying to stay on top of things and keep you all healthy.
Thanks. I'm hoping that Eddie is negative, too, mainly because he has a young daughter (2nd grade?) at home. But the fewer guys we have sick, the better.
Happy freaking Monday!

Hoping your guy does test negative. Had a few scares at Wally World, but so far so good nobody has tested positive.
Happy freaking Monday.

Yeah, I know. Blah!

Yeah...happy, happy, joy, joy.

Well, it's almost noon here now so that's half the day down.

Scary. I just had my first customer call with it. We were out there exactly 2 weeks ago though so we might have missed the window. Taking no chances with my tech though.

We're waiting for Momo's test to come back, but at least she doesn't live with us.

Hopefully it comes back negative.

It did. Or at least she said it did.
Clearly I suck at answering comments.

We have been so lucky here, and I am so very thankful, but I'm crossing my fingers for you and all those around you! *hugs*

You guys handled it so well! Can't like, the man supposedly running this country is an idiot and waited close to two months to even think about doing something, so the US is a mess currently. But thank you. So far, we're surviving and that's all I can hope for right now.
