Funny Story

Troy always had this sixth sense. He knew when I was in the bathroom (he always managed to call while I was in there). He knew when I left the office (because as rare as it was, he'd also call as soon as I'd left). The worst though? He always, ALWAYS seemed to know when I'd loaded a gift card to our shared Amazon account.

I'd use those gift cards - or try to - to buy books that I couldn't get from the library. However, nine times out of ten, before I'd get a chance, he'd have used it. Used to infuriate me because I got those gift cards for my birthday or for reviews that I'd done but he got to use them? ARGH!

Anyway, the reason why I'm telling you this is because I loaded a gift card into my account this morning around 6 AM. At just before 8, I get a text from my kid telling me that they were going to buy something on Amazon and noticed there was a gift card balance. Was I using it for anything?

TWO HOURS. IT LASTED TWO HOURS.

But, she at least asked, not something her father ever did. Hahaha.

Anyway, I thought it was amusing. You can go back to going about your day now. :D
