Interested in another meme?
If not, it's cool. But since I actually participated this week, I thought I'd share.
Topic was recent things we'd Googled and my responses are here.
And even if you don't want to go read, let me know what kind of weird shit you've been researching lately.

HAH! I was amused. I was driving a work car yesterday and it's a new electric one with all sorts of fancy stuff going on. I went onto a motorway (speed limit 100kph mostly) and when I went about 5kms over this (to pass a slow truck), and at any time it thought I did something weird, this woman's voice said "Obey all the road rules" (or something; I can't quite recall the wording), and it made me feel a bit naughty! It's hard for me to even remember what a 40mph speed limit looks like, because I've never actually driven in miles! Oddly though, we still call the distance your car's done mileage, because kilometerage is too weird! ;-)
Oh, and I think they have those conversion things because there's maybe a standard fitting, and the cars, no matter where they're made, can be sold in different countries. Of course one of the things we find is that cars made in different places they can have the fittings put the opposite way. We drive on the left, like Britain, so you expect the windscreen wipers on the left of the steering wheel and the lights and indicators on the right, but every now and then you'll find them round the other way, which is very confusing when you're used to it beingt he other way, and wipers go on at very unexpected times! LOL
The supermarket prices thing was about the shelves having one price and the checkout charging another, so a lot of people will be looking for refunds, no doubt! Thankfully it wasn't my usual one, as it's so much hassle having to go back to sort it out, especially as I shopped somewhere different from my usual branch.
Absolutely on the searches front! ;-)

That's hysterical! Years ago, I was driving Troy's truck to my mom's house and using GPS to get there. I changed lanes to get around a slow car in the same direction as the upcoming offramp. The GPS voice yelled back at me, "DO NOT EXIT THE FREEWAY!" and I yelled back, "I'M NOT, I'M TRYING TO GET AROUND A SLOWPOKE!" Thank god the kids had their headphones in. LOL
Hahaha! I can't imagine how confusing it'd be to be fumbling around on one side of your steering column looking for something that wasn't there!
OOOH. Okay, I misread. Now that would cause a riot. I'd be so mad. It's frustrating enough when something is put back in the wrong place and you think it's one price and turns out to be another. If it was deliberate, they'd be in a ton of trouble here in the US. If it was accidental, then it just sucks that they weren't more careful.

I'm not really good with voices in the car — I always turn the GPS vocal off, as I can check the screen, dammit! I'm usually already doing or aware of what they want me to do, but this voice was separate from the GPS and as I wasn't familiar with the car I don't know if it had an off button. Your story made me LOL too — sounds like the kind of thing I'd yell back too!
Oh yeah, it's crazy. The last thing you expect is the wipers coming on when you need an indicator!
Yeah, I'm not sure if it was accidental or what, but thankfully most people here are not litigious, because it's not something we're used to, but I can bet a lot of people would be lining up for refunds!!!

I can understand that. Not sure I want my actual car talking to me though.
Exactly!
That's good to hear. I'm not that way either, but soooo many Americans are sue happy so you know there'd be a flood of lawsuits. But yes, a refund is required, thanks!
