Really?

But I can't lie, it is kinda funny.

Me: *logs into the City of North Las Vegas Building Department's website*

CNLV: *banner across the top of the page* If you're experiencing issues with the portal, please consider using Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari.

Me: WTF browser did you think I was using? Opera? Does that even still exist? (Although, I guess I could be living in the stone age and using IE. Maybe.)

Also, WHY is it when I click on something on this website, and it opens in a new tab, I have to LOG BACK IN? This is exactly the same system that Henderson uses and they don't do this. GET IT TOGETHER, NLV!

God, I have been having a day, so I'm going to shut up and leave you with the funny thing before I get into the bitchy whiny things (because there are many).

LOL!! There are only a few browser "cores". Opera is still out there, but I don't think it ever caught on. IE hasn't been supported by Microsoft for quite a while, so hoping there aren't too many still using (no security updates). One nerdy tidbit is that the new Edge is built on Chromium (open source Chrome).

"The new Microsoft Edge is based on Chromium and was released on January 15, 2020." (from Microsoft's own support page).

And can I put my belated birthday wishes here? I haven't been online for a few days so totally missed it. Hope you had a fun one!

I don't even know why I know about Opera, to be honest, but still!

Now, that's interesting. I wonder if that's why Edge seems to be less annoying than IE was? I'm still a Chrome girl though.

Of course! And thank you! Hah, I spent the majority of it by myself since both of the girls worked, but I can live with that. :)
