July Book Roundup

I had a very productive reading month.  Looking at my Goodreads page, I’m wondering how I got anything else done. LOL

What I read:

The Time of Contempt by Andrzej Sapkowski.  Book #4 of The Witcher series.

7 Day Lenormand by Andrea Green.  A different type of tarot-ish deck and I wanted to learn a bit more about the cards.

The Gates of Valentine: Understand Your Relationships with Tarot by Marcus Katz.  This book was a waste of time.  Some good spreads at the end, but the info itself was lackluster.

22 Seconds by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro.  Still one of my favorite series.  Cindy can go though.

Blood Work by Michael Connelly.  Terry McCaleb book #1, Bosch Universe #8.  This is one of my favorites so far.  I liked the transplant angle as well as all the craziness.

Devil Bones by Kathy Reichs.  Tempe Brennan #11.  I love this series and the addition of a possible satanic/human sacrifice angle intrigued me.  Missed Andrew Ryan though.

The Gunslinger’s Guide to Avoiding Matrimony by Michelle McLean.  And ARC through Netgalley.  I laughed a lot throughout this entire novel.  I really need to go back and read the first in the series now, too.

The Snow Killer by Ross Greenwood.  DI Barton #1.  This was in the Audible Plus catalogue and I was looking for something different.  I enjoy British mysteries a lot, so this was a definite hit.

Magic, Lies, and Deadly Pies by Misha Popp.  A paranormal cozy mystery where a woman gets revenge on abusive men through magic pies.  Lots of fun and very funny at times.

New Age Tarot Spreads by Mati Fuller.  I was on a tarot kick, what can I say?  TONS of good spreads though.

Gypsy Oracle Cards by Jacqueline M. Murray.  I’ve been branching out, okay?  I have too many decks, runes, witches runes, etc., but I do not care. LOL

Play That Funky Music White Koi by Dakota Cassidy.  The second and apparently last Lemon Layne mystery.  Super cute and full of that patented Dakota humor.

Then She Was Gone by Lisa Jewell.  A 15-year-old goes missing without a trace.  Ten years later, her bones are found, but that’s only the beginning.  A very twisty and interesting mystery.

Mug Shot by Caroline Fardig.  Java Jive Mystery #2.  I love cozy mysteries and this series is a lot of fun.  I like that they swear (something they usually don’t do in a cozy) because some of the shit that comes out of Jules’ mouth is priceless.

What I’m currently reading:

Trying to keep it to a minimum since I always seem to be reading five things at a time.

The Last Place You Look by Kristen Lepionka.  The first Roxane Weary novel.

A Whole Latte Murder by Caroline Fardig.  The third in the Java Jive series.  Audiobook I grabbed from the library.

The Hacienda by Isabel Cañas.  This is an actual hardcover so it might take me a bit to get through.

What I hope to read next:

Brew Or Die by Caroline Fardig.  There are only five books in this series, might as well plow through them all, right?

Angel’s Flight by Michael Connelly.  I have the audiobook on hold at the library.  Hopefully it comes in soon.

I think that’s it at the moment.  As always, feel free to drop recs.

Same here, they're always so much fun. YES! I'm currently listening to A Whole Latte Murder thanks to Hoopla.

Also, if you ever need a rec for good cozies, let me know.

Thanks, it's about time I had a good reading month. :D
