It's Wendesday, so I'm sure you've guessed that this vent is payroll related. You'd be correct, too. Score yourself five bonus points.
So, I just got a text from one of my foremen stating that one of his guys didn't get his overtime from August 27th. I looked back at the punches for that week and... he never clocked himself in on that day. "But we didn't have any service on the jobsite!" Which isn't a lie, it's outside the city limits literally in the middle of the desert. But dude, you wait ten days to tell me? FOH.
I talked with Rhett and we're going to give him the time becuase he earned it, but I'll be damned if I'm not aggravated by this. I have someone calling every week to tell me his time isn't right and I'm not sure what I'm supposed to say to that. It's not an error on my part, guys. You have to grow up and be responsible for yourselves. Leave me a note in the app or - here's a thought - CALL ME TO TELL ME YOU HAD NO SERVICE ON SATURDAY.
Anyway...
LMAO... I just read a note from one of my guys that started, "Good morning and God Bless... " He forgot to clock back in after lunch and I'm dying. So, not everything payroll related sucks. Kaige, this is not my usual culprit either. 😂
In other news, we had a screwup with payroll in July. Totally my fault, but I didn't catch our payroll lady before she processed our payroll. So, she had to issue a credit to fix my goof. When I got the reports for the credits, I sent them to my accountant because I didn't know how to fix it without fouling something up. So, when I get in this morhing, there is an email from her asking why the payroll I posted is not the same as the debit our PR company took. *headdesk* In my favorite passive aggressive move, I forwarded her the original email I sent her... THE DAY IT ALL HAPPENED.
Just... send help.
Okay, time to process payroll on my end and move TF on with my day. Thank you for your support.
