If you start out a post with, "I want to say something positive" and then go on to make a list of eleven negative things and zero positive things, you never intended to make a positive post.
And if you dare have the nerve to blame it on your mood and tell me, "Don't preach at me...save it. I'm in a mood," just be forewarned you're about to learn some hard lessons about life. HAHAHAHA.
And FYI, I try very, very hard to be positive and pleasant, but this kind of BS rubs me the wrong way.
Back to your regularly scheduled lives.

Please tell me I'm not alone
Feb. 17th, 2021 07:45 amThe last couple days have left me wondering WTF I actually talk to (certain) people. Some, like my co-workers, I can't get away from. But others? The ones that claim to be friends? WHY DO I DO THIS TO MYSELF?
I really wish I was one of those people who wasn't a talker, didn't really need social interaction (even virtually), because I think I'd be a lot happier and have a lot less stress in my life.
Anyway... it's payroll day! I have lemon loaf cake and an iced coffee that was hit not with the nonfat I asked for, but heavy cream. LMAO. I don't care about the milk, it's one drink and it's already been a shit morning, so bring on the fat! HAH!
To make this a happier post... I got a book in the mail last night! Taylor also got an eyeliner in the mail last night. I moved it off the kitchen counter so I could start dinner and put it on the table. Violet proceeded to get onto the table, pick up the eyeliner - box and all - and carried it off. LOL I guess she had a hot date she needed to get ready for or something.

Why are people so negative?
Oct. 26th, 2020 03:17 pmI know, I have my moments, but overall I try and stay positive, even though I flop sometimes.
Anyway, it seems like whenever I post something (not here, y'all are wonderful) positive, someone (usually one of the same two people) always turn it into something negative. It's exhausting. And more than half the time, whatever they're complaining about is of their own doing.
So yeah, there's my Monday gripe.
And to balance this out, I'll add some good to this post:
1. My thyme has already sprouted. I noticed it on Saturday, only 6 days after planting.
2. My eggplant has three blossoms on it!
3. I'm about 1k words from finishing The Walking AU Fic (aka the fic that won't die).
4. My Rebel Deck arrived today and I can't wait to get home and play with it.
5. I get to go home in 39 minutes. Hahaha.

I just wrote a huge post and deleted it. I can't dump all that on you guys on a Friday. Suffice it to say that I've learned how little one co-worker actually values me and it's upset me.
When someone flat out tells you he wasn't listening during a conversation about something relevant to your job, it makes you wonder why you even come into work. I always thought they felt like I was beneath them. Now I know that, at least with one of them, it's true.
Why have I given 21 years of my life to this company? Sometimes I wonder.
And... I'm sorry. I feel so defeated right now.

Monday Funny + Ugh
Jan. 22nd, 2018 10:29 amMy boss gave me a list of pay raises to enter into the payroll system. Our payroll company has recently changed how they handle raises, so I stumbled through the relatively simple process since it was my first time. Three employees in, I noticed I had been putting today’s date instead of last Wednesdays (our pay periods run from Wednesday through Tuesday so the guys can get paid on Friday). So, I email the lady who handles our account to let her know I flubbed but caught my error.
