Pet Peeve of the Day

When someone responds to an email you've sent and puts their response in the subject line, rather than in the body of the email.

Why?

There's your petty moment for the day. 🤣🤣🤣

Have a fantastic Monday, y'all.

WHY would you do that?

Who doesn't know how to email?

*headdesk*

RIGHT? Annoys me to no end. I don't know if others do this or not, but unless I'm looking for something specific, I rarely pay attention to the subject line in my work inbox.

I barely pay attention to the body of the email.

Dufus!

Do you work here? The number of emails the guys forward me that have nothing to do with me is outstanding.

There are a prodigious number of people who cc me on emails to my boss. I don't read them as they are technical specs and IDFK. He asks did you read it? No, I presume I'm cc'd so that I will harass you to read it. But apparently I'm cc'd so I can sum up for him.

Happy Payroll to you!

I get the same thing! Mainly because Tim needed someone to say, "Hey, did you see that email from...?" Otherwise, he'd just ignore it or forward it to someone else without reading it. How do you sum up something you don't understand in the first place?
