Flash Challenge: Moving Out, Moving Up, Moving On
And since I've not been able to concentrate enough to put some words down, how about a few icons?
Moving Out - Aladdin as a street urchin

Moving Up - Aladdin as Prince Ali (fabulous he!)

Moving On - Aladdin and Jasmine happily ever after

Plus two bonuses. Can't have Aladdin icons and not include Genie, right? But Iago, he was my favorite part of the whole movie.

Rajah is great, has such great expressions, and so is the carpet, but I have this weird love for Gilbert Godfried (that comes from watching way too many reruns of Hollwood Squares as a teen), so Iago holds a special place in my heart. :D

Aladdin would be my third favorite of the new waves. I love The Lion King, but I can't watch it because of Mufasa's death. I love Pocahontas, but the ending rips my heart out every time. But Aladdin I can watch again and again!
As for The Little Mermaid, that one just never grabbed me. But as I always say, each to their own!

I like the Lion King, too! Oh, the end of Lilo & Stitch where Stitch says 'This is my family. Is broken, but still good" breaks my friggen heart. I watched it again about a month ago and got caught crying by 17-year-old. Hahaha.
The Little Mermaid has great songs, but it's much lower on the list of re-watchable movies for me. But definitely - we like what we like, right? :D

LOVE Lilo & Stitch! =) For some reason, I just don't really think of them in the New Wave. Maybe because I've watched the cartoon thousands of time. LOVE that they have the broken, assorted, but GOOD family, LOVE his bond with Lilo, and LOVE Bleakley's crossdressing and open femininity.
Even the worst Disney movies tend to have great songs. :)
I really hate to be seen crying. I'm better about it now than I used to be, but I still steer as far away as I can from media things I know will make me cry.

Lilo & Stitch is great. I can relate to them all so much. Yes to Bleakley - reminds me of Bugs Bunny back in the day. Always wearing a dress. :D
Same, but I tend to be an emotional wreck on a good day, so I've gotten over it. I can't blame you for that though, I don't intentionally seek out things that will make me cry, but it happens sometimes.
