30 Day Writing Challenge: Day 1
Day 1
List ten things that make you really happy.
Well, okay then. Here goes nothing.
1. My family.
2. My pets. And well, animals in general.
3. Books. But you knew that already.
4. Music.
5. Sunshine.
6. My imaginary friends. Especially Travis Murphy. He’s my spirit animal. Andrej is a close second.
7. My internet friends because I honestly have no real-life friends.
8. Coffee.
9. Key Lime pie.
10. Words. I know that sounds strange, but writing, reading, talking, learning a new language… it all brings me joy. Words equal knowledge and knowledge is power.

You're stuck with me by the way. ;)

As I was recently reading, there's a huge second wave of it as people hit a certain number I won't scare you with (there's a five in it) and they start prioritizing how they spend their time and attention. I can attest to that. It's okay, though - I'm learning to look forward to future experiences rather than mourn those I shared past ones with. It's all good.
Ahhhhhh! Key lime pie. I'm sure we've discussed that. Key Lime and Lemon Meringue, yum.
I'm also with you on the words, and on internet friends. :)

That makes a lot of sense. I've got a good five and a half years before I hit that number, but the things going on in my life right now have really been making me think about the things I do and where my time goes. Not just my husband's health, although that's a big part of it, but my kids growing up and getting their own lives. Exactly that though - learning to be a couple again once the kids are gone will be interesting, but also a fun exploration as well. Thanks for all this, too - it really helps put things in perspective.
YES. Lime is always my first choice, but I love anything citrus. Not a big fan of meringue, but lemon pie is amazing as well!
Words are my friends when no one else wants to be. :D I saw something once that said, "I love my computer. All my friends live inside." So yeah. :)

When I had Cassie, I think she made me happier than at least 50% of my family. :D
Where did you get these questions?

Aw! But I totally agree. If the cat wants cuddles it's because the cat wants cuddles. No ulterior motive detected. :D
I found it on Pinterest (because I'm SUCH a mom-like-creature). This is the one I'm using (although there are a ton if you search):

Thanks for the link! Pinterest doesn't play nice with my computer but maybe I will look around on google for some others!

Ugh, I can understand that. I uploaded it to Flikr, so click on the image to go to the full-sized.

Love these! I do have RL friends, but don't see many of them often, which suits me. My online friends know me so much better in many ways, and we have more in common.
I think I'd like key lime pie (though I don't like lemon pie), but I've never actually had it!
Words are wonderful!

I looooooove key lime pie! I'm not sure if you know what they are or not, but key limes are smaller and sweeter than regular limes. They make a great pie. And it's creamier than what a lemon meringue pie is.
Yes, they are!
