By the sword...

Okay, so this week has sucked. Not because anything majorly bad has happened, but because I work with a bunch of self-absorbed assholes who think that no one other than they know anything about anything.

So, during lunch I was scrolling through Facebook and saw this video:

So, if you've been here since December, you'll know that I loved Netflix's adaptation of The Witcher. If you've been here longer than that, you'll also know that I love Henry Cavill. Cue instant interest on my part.

Anyway, I started watching this video because I find behind-the-scenes stuff like this interesting. Also, Henry is cute and I kinda love the sound of his very posh British accent.

Sometime about thirty seconds in, I remembered that a lot of Andrej's physical characteristics are based off of Henry. The hair, the eyes, the easy swagger. Although I picture Andrej being slimmer and, of course, darker skinned (since he's Roma), the rest pretty much fits. You can imagine then, I suppose, the way my little heart skipped a beat, watching Henry handle the sword out of his Geralt getup.

It's enough to make Zayne want to behave.

Now, I'm not ready for an all out Witcher AU (yet, lmao, let me read some more first), but it does make me wonder... who'd be Yennefer? Ciri? Dandelion Jaskier? Wait, Zayne would have to be the damn bard because no one is as annoying and charming as Zayne (or Jaskier).

LMAO... and after watching this, Zayne really IS Jaskier:

(And I can see Andy giving Zayne *that look* often.)

Okay, okay, I'm bored and stressed and looking for something to entertain me. I'll shut up now, but can I gush for a second about how in real life Geralt is a nerd who loves both The Witcher novels and the video games?

Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine. I'm going. Sheesh. No respect.

Happy Thursday guys.

I really, really need to finish these damn ARCs I have so I can get back to reading my Witcher books. And watching Mission Impossible: Fallout. I have reasons and none of them are good.

I adore you. Just saying

Thank you, I needed that today. This week has been rough on me.

You're pretty awesome yourself, yanno. :)

Henry is cute in a geeky kind of way. At least, you found something to keep you relatively sane.

You are awesome.

*hugs*

He really is. It's so much fun to find out someone is already a fan of the role they're playing, too.

Thanks, right back atcha. <3

He really is adorable, for a big, buff guy. I think it was Simon Pegg (sp?) he was doing that '...answers questions from the web' show on YouTube, and he got very blushy about a couple of things. Not much hotter than a grown man who can still blush about something. ;)

Right? Aw, I love that! It shows that there is some humbleness still in him if he gets embarrassed like that. Pink-cheeked men are a rare breed!

Saving this... to watch later. I need to get back to the Witcher. I haven't gotten far because I need to WATCH it, not just have it on for noise (as Leverage has been doing for me all week).

I don't mind reading these or reading your rants about the job. I understand... completely.

*sighs* Speaking of jobs... I need to eat something and get to work. Or work for a few minutes, then eat something. Not sure which.

I really enjoyed it and want to go back and rewatch it now. There's a bit of an emotional attachment there for me though because it was the last thing Troy and I watched together before he went into the hospital.

Thanks, I appreciate that.

Hopefully, you've managed to get one or more of those things done by now. :)

That sounds good. Aaaww that's sweet.

No problem.

LOL I got both those things done... tomorrow I need to focus on my papers for college... when I'm not doing work stuff.
