Here kitty kitty kitty (Photo/Video Heavy)
I know I promised kittens over the weekend, but I got sucked into documentaries and the book I'm currently reading. HOWEVER, what better way to start your week than with kitties?
Sunny loves her paper bags. She'll sit on them like this so that the kittens (and Violet) can't play in them.
Miss Violet being a silly girl.
Gideon watching Matty very closely to make sure he has proper form.
I was trying to read one night and had a bit of company (Fawkes on the pillow and, of course, Violet).
Because they are smol, the kittens get under everything. Violet decided to see what all the fuss was about. A friend of mine asked if I had to call the fire department to get her out.
Violet's quite offended by Fawkes sleeping in her spot.
I wish I could sleep like these two sometimes.
Story time: when we first brought Sunny home, she'd play in any water she could find. Her water bowl, the toilet, etc. I even started to find her toys floating in the downstairs toilet every morning, which led to us having to keep the lids down 24/7. So, this cracked me up (click video to watch).
Lastly, the boys playing on my bed. You will note that Fawkes is not just behind my pillow, he is INSIDE my pillow case. *sighs*

Thankfully, they seem to be settling down and sleeping at night. Last night, I was on my side and had a kitten tucked into either side of my body.
Ah, that would do it. The boys dunked one of their toys in the water bowl this morning so there was water all over the kitchen and the living room.

That's good. Nocturnal kitties are NOT FUN! Aaaww Roscoe is mad at me because I brought THAT CAT (aka my sister's cat that we're essentially fostering for the moment) into HIS house and HIS bed so he's been sleeping with Mommy.

Oh god, tell me about it. Violet is very much looking to chat at 2 AM on the regular. LOL Poor Roscoe, some other kitty in his house making it smell funny.
Thank god I recently bought a new steam mop. Got it cleaned up pretty quickly.

I get up to use the restroom and she thinks I'm getting up to stay and gets excited. LOL Fawkes has taken to sleeping downstairs at night and Gideon is very much a teenage boy — he doesn't get up unless he has to. LOL

OMG same. Mine get a spoonful of wet food twice a day. It's mostly to help them since they were supposed to be indoor cats.

I split a can between the four of them every morning. They definitely need the wet food, but they mostly eat the dry.

Man, I'm having to buy regular cat food and kitten food (as per the vet) and everyone eats everyone else's food. I'll be happy to get them off the kitten food in June — it's making Violet fat. 🤣

Hahahha I'm sure. When Hades was a kitten, we mixed the two cat foods together which kept the weight down on all of them.

That makes sense. The kittens stayed in my room for the first few weeks so their kitten food is in my room, the regular cat food is downstairs. So, depending on the time of day, they get one or the other.

Yup. And since I can have anywhere from no to all four cats in my room while I sleep, it makes sense to keep it there. Violet mows at me to refill the kittens' bowl when I get up, and then she mows more when I get downstairs because it's time for second breakfast (aka their wet food).

I keep the cats' food in my room, but that's more because the dog can't get to it. (There's a chain on my door so the cats can get in, but the dog cannot.)

Omg, that look on Violet's face- she's horrified at a kitten in her spot. I think if Ellie found a kitten in her bed I would hear the scream all the way down the block. Lol.
I love cats that watch TV. :). And all of that kitten energy — well, I've loved it through the years, but, yeah, gimme a ten year old now. Ha. Ellie's my speed at the moment, I guess.

Sunny really is. She acts like she's above it all, and then gets silly with the rest of them.
The first time she realized they'd figured out how to get up there (that spot is about eyeball level with me), she was so ticked. :D Hahaha! Ellie sounds like Nayla. She and Violet lived in the same house for four years and Nayla got father than tolerating Violet.
Me, too. Violet would attack the TV whenever Troy was watching tennis or playing his video games. Gideon is so interested in everything, it's really fun... except when I'm trying to read email and he's smacking my screen whenever the cursor moves.
I hear you! I love these boys but they are a TRIAL. I'm always relieved when I realize it's Violet hopping on my bed and not one of the ginger lunatics.
Thank you! I'm thrilled they're doing so well, even if there are still incidents of hissing. But overall, they've settled in well.

They're all such funny little bugs, cats. This is Ellie's favorite spot- a bed slightly too small for her, with one foot out! Lol. I bought her a new, larger, fluffier one and she will not touch it. *shrug*

OMG, this is so cute! I read that cats like to squish into things they barely fit into because it makes them feel secure. So, maybe that's her thing? Meanwhile, the teeny boys are playing in the HUGE box their new litterbox arrived in. 🤣

Sunny loves her bags! That photo of Violet makes me laugh every time I see it. She's really warmed up and seems to like the boys a lot.
I'm honestly shocked that Violet did not get stuck under my nightstand.
