Not like other girls...
So, I'm dealing with a person who has to go out of their way to prove that they're not like everyone else. That they're *better* because they're the opposite of whatever is being mentioned at the moment. (I actually know two people like this, but I digress.)
And we all do things differently, it's what makes us who we are. I mean, I don't buy taco seasoning, I make mine, but I'd never criticize you for buying a packet at the store. Especially since I started making my own due to Troy's high blood pressure. That's the difference I'm talking about. This person would - and does - look down on you for doing things like that. For using a stand mixer instead of a wooden spoon to mix your bread dough, for using the calendar on your phone instead of bullet journaling. You know, common and highly acceptable ways of doing things that actually fit your needs and means.
So, I found this meme this morning and had to post it. While I hate the Not Like Other Girls trope in fiction, this cracked me up. Because it's me. I'm Totoro.
I don't want to turn this into a bitchfest, I just wanted a reason to share this meme because a) it's true and b) I have a Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli obsession.
(Anime is SF weird y'all... but No Face is my favorite.)
And now you're all wondering WTF we're even friends... I wish you a happy Thursday. :D
