Dakotah scratched the back of his neck and looked at his son. The dhampir looked back at him, the barest hint of fang showed over his lower lip. It was the most menacing pout Dakotah had ever seen, and he’d seen a thing or two in his immortal lifetime. What had Sierra been thinking, giving this predatory child a kitten? Austen hadn’t hurt Bela, but there might come a time when he did. It was either curb his son’s instincts or hide the cat.
On second thought, maybe they could hone each other’s survival skills? It was worth a shot.
