Anti-Hero (Cowboy's Version)
Apr. 26th, 2024 03:28 pmThe first song presented in the songfic challenge at 1_million_words was Taylor Swift's "Anti-Hero". From the first time I heard it, it made me think of Zayne. So, when it was presented, he is immediatly who I went to for inspriation.
I wrote something early in the fic that made me think of another song - "Love You Too Late" by Cole Swindell - and then it rather spiraled out of control and now I have a(nother) new playlist.
While I managed to keep the playlist down to nine songs, the fic topped out at over 4k words. IN TWO DAYS I WROTE 4K WORDS.
Anyway... if you're so inclined and use Spotify, feel free to save the playlist. If you know of another platform where I can make a free playlist, let me know.
OH! And hopefully I'll get the fic posted tomorrow. It's done, I just need to give it one more read through and I don't have it in me today.
(Let's hope this embeds correctly... the preview shows it okay but... *sigh*)

The difference in perspective is hilarious
Apr. 4th, 2023 10:17 amI'm going to start by saying that this isn't a political post. If a pollitician on 'my side' was going through what Trump is currently, I'd still find this hilarious.
Anyway... all of the US news sources that I follow have been sending notifcations saying, "Trump's arraignment is today." "Trump has left Trump Tower on his way to be arraigned."
The fucking BBC alerts me to the fact that, "Trump is on his way to be arrested."
I get that BBC doesn't have to be as politically correct as the news outlets in the US but my god, that caused me to bark out a laugh the likes of which you have not heard.
Okay... back to work with me.

My boss seriously just asked me if 'am I' is proper usage. He saw it in an email and it didn't sound right.
HOLY SHIT AND YOU WENT TO COLLEGE DUDE.
I get it, to a point. English grammar can be weird at times and things that are correct don't always sound right. But this is basic conjugation of THE MOST OFTEN USED VERB IN ENGLISH. I can conjugate 'to be' in four languages and you can't do it in one? *headdesk*
Lord, and it's only 8:38 AM right now. Cannot wait to see what other idiocy the day brings. Hahaha.
On the bright side, I can deal with this kind of fuckery.
