So, some good stuff to report today.
First, Troy had his yearly review yesterday and it went well. Not that we were worried, but you always get a little nervous about these things if you care about your job. Anyway, he was promoted to designer level 2, which is amazing since he has no formal training as a designer - everything he's learned has been on the job. This comes with a pay bump as well as salary. That last bit is the best news considering all his damn doctor's appointments he has these days. So, he was rather happy last night.
As a bonus, he told his boss that he'd like to start looking into classes to help him better understand the whys and hows of what he's doing. His boss told him that as long as it was work related they'd cover anything from half to the full cost of the class. Score!
I have no doubt you're all sick and tired of hearing about my bike at this point, but I hit a milestone in a way last night. My first 45-minute ride! I was worried that I'd crash at the 30-minute mark but amazingly enough, I made it all the way through to the end and never really struggled once. Also, I didn't swear at or threaten Matt (the instructor) either. That says a lot. LOL
My stats, if you're interested:

This was an endurance ride, so the pace was average, which is probably what saved my flabby butt. Got another 45-minute ride on deck for tonight. Not sure if I can pull two off in a row, so I might cheat and opt out for a 20 or 30 minute ride instead.Feel free to yell at me and tell me I need to stick with the program.
So, that's my good news for the day. What's going on in your world?
P. S. Kaige - I'm up to episode 5 of The Boys now. The bit with the baby in the lab had me screaming with laughter this morning.
