“You know what,” Zayne said, handing a cup of steaming hot cocoa first to Andrej, then to James. “Maybe Utah wasn’t such a bad destination after all.”

“Told you, cowboy,” James said, sipping his drink. “Mm, this is perfect. Thanks.”

“Anytime,” Zayne said. He held out his own mug to Andrej who took it while Zayne settled down in front of the fire beside him. “I can take that now.”

Andrej handed over Zayne’s cocoa and lifted his own mug. Taking a long inhale over the steaming cup, he flashed Zayne a look. “What did you put in this?”

“Nothing that doesn’t belong in it,” he said. “Milk, cocoa mix…”

“Peppermint schnapps,” James added with a laugh. “Try it, it’s amazing.”

“C’mon,” Zayne teased. “We’re on vacation, we’re snowed in, and we’re not going anywhere. Indulge a little.”

Sighing, Andrej took a tentative sip. “It is good, but you made it very strong.”

“Sorry about that,” Zayne said. “Trying to warm you up and loosen you up at the same time.”

James laughed. “Not sure he needs any loosening at the moment.”

“Or warming,” Andrej added with a smile. “I believe the two of you did a very good job of warming me up a bit ago.”

“If you give me ten minutes,” Zayne said with a leer, “I can make sure you stay warm.”

Andrej laughed loudly. “Maybe we ought to enjoy our cocoa and then think about food?”

“Reyes’ mind is always on dessert, Andy,” James teased. “Although I can’t exactly blame him.”

Looking at the fire, Andrej rolled his eyes. They were incorrigible at the best of times, and this was not one of their better moments. “Well, I am hungry,” he said, giving them both a stern look they knew all too well. “And I would like food.”

“Yeah, okay,” James said, setting his drink down in a spot where it wouldn’t get kicked over. “I am getting hungry, too, so maybe some food is in order. Zayne?”

Zayne made a face but got up and followed James into the kitchen of the small cabin they’d rented for the week. “Um, is there even any food in this place?”

“Shh,” James chuckled. “There are leftovers from what we had last night and stuff for sandwiches. While I think he’s screwing with us, I’m not willing to risk finding out.”

“Me neither,” Zayne said, pulling open the fridge door and looking inside. “Ooh, soup. Perfect. Would you heat that up while I make more cocoa?”

James snorted. “You get him too drunk and it’s only going to be me and you later.”

“You say that like it’s a bad thing,” Zayne teased. “But I agree. I’ll go easier on the sauce this time.”

“It’s a plan,” James said, taking the soup from Zayne.

“Mm,” James murmured, face pressed against the back of Zayne’s broad shoulder. “Do we ever have to go home?”

“Yes,” Andrej said. He leaned into Zayne’s chest and reveled in the warmth of his boyfriend’s body. “Unfortunately, we do.”

“On the bright side,” Zayne said, turning his head backwards to give James a reassuring kiss. “We don’t have to go home quite yet.”

“We have four more days,” Andrej confirmed.

Zayne tightened his grip around Andrej’s waist and snuggled into him. “Four glorious days, gingerbread.”

“Okay,” he said, pressing a kiss to Zayne’s smooth, bare skin. “I can live with that.”

“Good thing, too,” Zayne said, smiling into the fire. “Because there’s no way I’m moving for the next four hours.”

“Go to sleep, cowboy,” James said, giving Zayne’s hair a ruffling. “I know I’m about to, too.”

“Go to sleep both of you,” Andrej said, yawning himself. “I am due a few minutes of quiet.”

“You’re never going to get that with the two of us around,” Zayne said, his voice drifting into that huskier register he gets when he was both tired and content.

“That is okay,” Andrej said, hearing the soft sounds of James’ snoring behind him. “I am used to it.” And honestly, he was quite fond of the noise they brought, just so long as it was happy noise.

It only took a few moments before he could hear Zayne snoring as well and it made him grin. There wasn’t any better way to spend his holiday vacation than with a cup of rich, hot cocoa – spiked or otherwise – and his two, equally hot lovers.
