Written for the 100-in-100 challenge at 1_million_words. Prompt: Shave
Note: I hope to get more of these done today and tomorrow so be prepared, I guess?
“What are you doing,” Elliot asked, shaking the shaving cream off his razor and into the sink.
“Watching you,” Adrien said, hopping onto the long bathroom counter.
Elliot lifted the razor, allowing it to hover just over the curve of his cheek. “Why? I’m not doing anything exciting, just shaving.” He lowered the blade to his skin and flicked his eyes in Adrien’s direction. “Although if you keep looking at me like that, I might cut myself.”
“I’ll patch you back up,” he promised.
Snorting, Elliot went back to shaving. “Still don’t get what’s so interesting about me removing excess hair from my face.”
“My facial hair doesn’t grow like that,” Adrien said, pointing to his own mostly hairless face. “It’s kind of fascinating to watch you wipe it all away with a sweep of the razor.”
Elliot tapped the razor against the edge of the sink and side-eyed Adrien. “You are one weird ass person,” he said, affectionately. “Anyone ever tell you that?”
He shrugged. “My mom. Uncle Dante. You, on a daily basis.” He grinned at Elliot. “So, um, yeah.”
Picking the towel up off the counter, Elliot wiped the remaining bits of shaving cream from his face. “You’re lucky I love you, you weirdo.”
“You don’t know the half of it,” he said, grinning. “Kiss me before you go?”
“Wouldn’t have it any other way.”
