Title: After the Party
Fandom: Romani Detective Rockstar AU Fiction
Pairing: Andrej Zeklos/James Rosewood/Zayne Reyes
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 743
Summary: It’s the morning after a big party at Zayne’s place and Andrej wakes up to a mess.
Author’s Notes: Written for day 6 of the Drabble/Icon Challenge at 1_million_words. The second I saw ‘penthouse’ I knew I needed to go back to my rockstar AU.
Andrej sighed as he surveyed the destruction that James and Zayne had left behind them in the penthouse. At least this time it was Zayne’s penthouse, not one that they’d rented for the week, so there wouldn’t be any fines or fees to be paid later. But still, you’d think they’d have a little bit of sense and not trash their own homes.
But then, last night had been something else. He plucked a pair of lavender boxers off a lamp as he walked past. James and Zayne’s band had been honored for their latest album reaching platinum status – that made four albums in a row now – and the party had been epic. Which is why Zayne’s place looked like a hurricane had blown through.
He sighed again before going into the kitchen and retrieving a garbage bag. Andrej made his way through the rooms, picking up trash and discarded male garments. A single sock draped across the stereo made him smile, however. James throwing that particular sock at Zayne after all the guests had left was what had led to hours of sexual acrobatics between the three of them. It was about the only reason that he didn’t tell the both of them to go to hell and find themselves another road manager.
How on earth did he ever fall for these two idiots? Shaking his head, he bent down to retrieve a bottle that had rolled under the couch.
“Mmm,” he heard Zayne’s voice, heavy with sleep and drink, coming from behind him.
“Yes,” he asked, looking over his shoulder. Even hung over, Zayne was fine as hell.
“Are you going to offer me a piece of that sweet ass or are you just going to tease me?” Zayne stretched his arms over his head for a moment, then closed the distance between the two of them.
Andrej stuffed the bottle into the trash bag and rose to his feet. A grin spread across his face, thinking of all the ways he loved to tease Zayne. And James. “I guess that depends on whether or not you’re going to make it worth my while.”
“Oh, we’ll definitely make it worth your while,” James said.
Andrej looked at James and couldn’t stop grinning. He looked nearly as bad as Zayne, and yet, he was still irresistible as far as Andrej was concerned. “In that case, one of you ought to get a second trash bag and help me clean this mess up.”
James snorted and disappeared, hopefully to return with another trash bag.
“And what’s the other going to do,” Zayne asked, his drawl thick and sexy.
“You,” Andrej said, resting a hand against Zayne’s chest, “can go start a load of laundry. I believe I have picked enough for a full load up off your living room floor.”
Zayne grimaced and rubbed the back of his neck. “Yeah, guilty,” he muttered. “I try really hard to keep this place clean but…” He shrugged.
Andrej got it. Sometimes, whenever he or James – but especially when it was the both of them – came around, clothes wound up on the living room floor. Funny how that happened.
“Go start your laundry,” Andrej said, trying not to laugh. “And you,” he said to James, “go check the spare bedroom to make sure it’s clean as well.”
“What are you going to do,” James asked.
“I’m going to take a shower I’ve already done more than my share considering this is not my place.”
When Andrej had left the room, James turned to Zayne, who had an armful of clothes clutched to his chest. “He drives a hard ass bargain, doesn’t he?”
“He does,” Zayne agreed. “And it’s the only thing that’s kept me from asking him to move in with me.”
“Oh? And what about me,” James asked, preparing for a fight.
“Ah, well, I figured that if he said yes, you could move in, too,” Zayne said with a shrug. “But I’m not sure I want to live with his crazy ass any longer. He scares me.”
James laughed loudly. “Only because he makes you act like an adult, cowboy.”
“Exactly my point, gingerbread. Exactly my point.”
“Enough jabbering,” James said, lifting his garbage bag. “Time to get cleaning. If we’re not done by the time he’s out of the shower, he’ll go back to sleep. Without us, too.”
Zayne watched the redhead for a moment before nodding. “On it, baby. Let’s get cleaning.”
