So far, I've only managed three chapters (only started it last night) and all I can say is... this is one weird MF'er. I still love his crazy ass but WHEW. I'll have to remember to highlight some of the weirder stuff he says so I can share it.
I do have to say this though. He grew up next door to Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. He makes this joke at one point:
We couldn’t help but worry whether, when his wife, Dale Evans, died, he might stuff her and place her in the kitchen holding a plate of chocolate chip cookies. Fortunately, Dale outlived Roy. Terrible joke, but I was eight. Imagine going to sleep knowing that one neighbor had hanged himself and the other had stuffed two of his three costars.
...and it cracked me up because my dad always said the same thing. LOL!
But I never knew he dated Cher? Like what? And he's a Christian Scientist and... oh, Val.
(Sorry, I've been crushing on the man since the early 80's. LOL)
