I read a lot of manga last month. LOL
What I read:
Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku Volume 1 by Fujita. I have the second volume waiting for me, too, but this is a very goofy manga about two people pretending to be in a relationship.
Heartstopper Volume 4 by Alice Oseman. I’m obsessed, seriously. I think there’s one more volume yet to be released and I can’t wait. Also, Netflix has made it into a series, so I need to add it to my watch list.
Garlic and the Vampire by Bree Paulsen. Adorable graphic novel with an unnaturally handsome carrot in it.

Spy X Family Volume 3 by Tatsuya Endo. This manga is so over the top ridiculous! But I cannot get enough of it. And I need to start on the anime soon.
The Recovery Agent by Janet Evanovich. I love JE’s Plum series as well as her Fox and O’Hare series. When I heard she had a new series, I had to get it. Looks to be another fun set of characters.
My Evil Mother by Margaret Atwood. Freebie short story I got from Amazon/Audible. Very interesting and a lot happens in an hour.
The Last Goodnight by Kat Martin. Romantic suspense set on a ranch in Colorado. I liked the mystery, but the ‘hero’ Kade had a tendency to be a real ass. Thankfully, Ellie puts him in his place, so I was able to finish the book. LOL
Jesus and John Wayne: How White Evangelicals Corrupted a Faith and Fractured a Nation by Kristen Kobes DuMez. I don’t even know what to say about this. It infuriated me so much and I was constantly muttering, “You’ve got to be f*cking kidding me,” at my Kindle. That said, I’m glad I read it because it really gave me a lot of understanding into how and why evangelicals think the way they do.
Between the Pipes by E. M. Lindsay & Marina Vivancos. Prequel to the Sin Bin series that introduces a couple of characters. The writing flopped at times, but I really liked the boys – Zed, Davesh, and Kevin – so it was worth it in the end.
What I’m reading now:
The Paris Apartment by Lucy Foley. Still. Hah.
Ghost Files: The Collected Cases from Ghost Hunters and Seeking Spirits by Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson. Yes, still. But it’s like 600 pages. I read a couple of cases every night before I go to bed. LOL
The Last Coyote by Michael Connelly. Bosch #4. Since this is an audiobook, it’ll take me a bit to get through it.
Under the Banner of Heaven: A Story of Violent Faith by Jon Krakauer. I saw the trailer for this on Hulu and ordered the book. Series has finally started and lordy me is it intense. But hey, I just finished a book about evangelicals, so why not a book about fundie LDS next?
What’s up next:
I have way too many books I want to read, as well as about 15 books on hold at various libraries so I’m not even going to attempt to make a TBR here.
