All I can say is that, while my dad made a crapload of bad decisions, leaving Illinois for Nevada was not one of them. Went back to Pekin for my grandmother's funeral back in the 90's and flat out asked my mother how people lived in those conditions. Just — awful. :/ Hope that it warms up for you soon!


She did, thanks! And Mark Stone's hat trick helped. :D Oh, I bet she'd have fun with that. One of her friends is very into all sports, so I'm sure they'd enjoy it.


I have both of them on my TBR list, I think. And most of the ones I have read do have at least dual POV's. Was odd that this one didn't. I've only read one Rachel Reid, but I adored Time to Shine, so she's on the list to read again soon. And thank you — always looking for suggestions.


It was moving too slowly for her, I think. Even as someone who loves a slow burn (whether romance or plot), it was a bit slow for me, too. I might give it another try later though. Will have to look into the others you mentioned, too. See if they're something she might like.
