Summary: Bryce returns for one last goodbye.  One too many goodbyes for Chuck.
Author’s Note: Written for the prompt of: Chuck, Bryce/any, once more at comment_fic.  Also, this is totally not my ship in this fandom, but between Heroes Reborn and Magic Mike XXL, both Zac Levi and Matt Bomer have been on my mind a lot lately.  So… there is this.  And yes, I know, you are glaring at me right now for this.  And you know who you are.  Casey can kiss my country ass.  But you?  You, I like.


Clothes were scattered across the Buy More breakroom.  It was well past closing time and the store was empty.  And yet…

“This is probably the stupidest thing I’ve ever done,” Chuck muttered, burying his nose in the crook of Bryce’s neck.  “And lemme tell ya, I’ve done some stupid things in my time.”

“Mmm,” Bryce murmured.  “I know.  I was your roommate, remember?”

“That’s not to say – I don’t mean that you –”

“Chuck,” Bryce laughed, placing his hand over the other man’s mouth.  “Shut up.  We don’t have much time left.  Let’s just… be.”

“Right,” Chuck sighed, angry with himself for giving in.  Just once more, Bryce had pleaded for the fifth time since they’d met at Stanford.

Chuck had quickly learned that once is never enough.

Thank you! Chuck was one of my favorite shows, but I rarely write in the fandom.

Well, I had a feeling it wouldn't be Casey, but seriously, that is fine by me. I've always thought that Chuck (being flexible of body and mind ;) can pair well with just about anyone. Well, not anyone, but Bryce most certainly. And considering how much I've teased at the hint of their past liaisons, I fully support Chuck and Bryce in the break room! :)

What I really liked that you did here was managing to grab hold of Chuck's jitters and, face it, lack of confidence when it came to everything Bryce Larkin in such a short span of words. (I mean, hell, that sentence above is probably 30 words! LOL) He can never accept that he's ten times the man that Bryce was, even at Bryce's dying end.

But damn, Bryce is tempting ... :)

It's funny because I never really shipped Chuck with anyone outside of Sarah, to be honest. But Bryce... well, even in cannon they had a history so it makes more sense (to me anyway).

Thank you though. I never write in this fandom and since I haven't' rewatched any of the episodes, I do wonder if the characterizations stand up. And I know you'd say something if they didn't, so that's a good thing!

Heh - I just scanned all of the comments. I love how things get out of hand sometimes. Funny!!! Jayne and Casey with the guns, though - *snort* Casey as a back-up singer to Bryce? LOL. At least he could shoot him in the back that way, though its not Casey's style.

And now I'll go back to writing chapter one, where Bryce Larkin finally makes his grand entrance (It's like you damn well knew all this time that this is were Bryce comes in - you knew it had to happen, right?? :)

I'm telling you though... the plot bunnies were hopping all over the place in that thread! You're right on that - he'd prefer to shoot Bryce in the face just so he's positive Bryce knows it was him.

Hah. :D And you know, it never really occurred to me that Bryce would ever be in the picture, but now that you mention it, it makes sense. As for me, I'm trying to get stuff done so I can get out of here in an hour and a half. Oh, and so I can take Zeklos on that date he got promised. :D
