Some Days...

asphaltcowgrrlSome days, I hate my job. And then there are days like today when it gives me so much absolute, utter amusement that I woulnd't give it up for everything in the world.
So, this jutst happens.
*phone rings*
Me: Good morning, Murphy Plumbing, how may I help you? (Note: not exactly the name of my company, but still in the grand ol' Irish spirit of the thing).
Her: Oh. I thought I was calling Canyon Plumbing.
Me: Nope, not Canyon.
Her: You're not Canyon Plumbing?
Me (side-eying my co-worker who is grinning at me): No. We're Murphy Plumbing.
Her. But I dialed 702-555-5555.
Me (trying not to laugh because she dialed MY PHONE NUMBER): Yes, that's our phone number.
Her: But you're not Canyon Plumbing?
Me (resisting the urge to flip of my co-worker who is now fully laughing at me): No, we're not Canyon Plumbing.
Her (after a pause): Do you have their number?
Me: *hangs up*
Ah, thank god it's lunchtime. I think I'm going to laugh every time the phone rings for the rest of the day now.
