Something Happy

Since all I do is whine. *G*
The girls started back to school on Monday. Their school went year-round this year, so their track only just started back. Anyway, my older girl, Taylor, is in the third grade this year (God help me) and she came home with the usual stuff... but then also something very unusual. The school had given every one of them a day planner (they call it an 'agenda' however, but that still makes sense). It's spiral bound and has a monthly calendar followed by daily areas like a regular monthly planner would. And better yet? The teacher is showing them how to USE it. How amazing is that? And I think that kids nowadays really do need things like this. I wish someone had helped teach me how to use my time wisely. I had to learn it the hard way. LOL
Madison, on the other hand, is in first grade this year and is enjoying herself so far. Our kitchen door (that leads into the garage) is already starting to get covered in artwork. Started doing that last year when they overwhelmed my refrigerator with all the stuff they brought home. LOL I think they're going to both have a very good year this year.
Taylor (left) is 8 and Madison (right) is 6. And yeah, I know. She's HUGE for 6! LOL
