A Walk in the Park

Some time ago, Haldoor was posting a daily photo meme and had commented how she'd love to see pics from a day in my life.  Well, my life is pretty boring so I put it off.  Until last night.

Two nights a week, my older girl has a group tennis thing at one of our local parks.  It's an older park so it's not huge, but it's actually really nice considering we live in the desert.  I like to go out and walk while she plays (because she hates having anyone watch her) but during the winter, it's hard.  It gets too dark too early and I watch too many cops shows to be out walking after dark by myself.  Thankfully, as we (or at least me) are easing out of winter and into spring, it's staying lighter longer.  Although it was already getting dark by the time I started my walk last night, I did get two really nice shots with my phone.

A glimspe of the moon through the trees.  It was really bright last night and being a moon child, it caught and held my attention most of the time I was out last night.

H, I promise to get you some nicer pictures once things start to bloom in the area.  I think there are some cacti surrounding the park and there's nothing prettier than a cactus flower.

And, as a bonus, this is the bush at that same park (we have one very similar by the house).  I took this pic in October, by the way.  Just shows how warm it still is in these parts then.

Oh, these are great! I especially love seeing things that are different from home, and man, the desert especially. Looking forward to the cactus flowers in due course. ;-)

Thank you! And I know what you mean. Your pics were so green and colorful and the desert isn't all that green or colorful! It'll be March or April before they start to bloom, but I'll make sure to get some pics. :)
