How You Know You're Too Invested in Your Fantasy World

Since my older daughter's birthday is tomorrow, we went out to a local Mexican restaurant for dinner to celebrate.  I'm reading the menu, trying to decide what I want when I stumble across this combination...



As much as I love a good chile relleno, I'm not sure I could have ordered #11 with a straight face.  Besides, it should come with a side of Romanian hot sauce and gingerbread for dessert, but maybe that's just me.

So yeah, it's official... I spend too much time in my fictional world.  Thank god I had a margarita becuase I was able to blame my giggles on the tequila.

(Also, I'm an idiot, but I think you all knew that already...)

Hah! Agree about a writer's brain - always brightens my day when I run into a trigger.

Funny, now I have a hankering for a Gingerbread, hotsauce, taco - or better yet, a tightly packed sandwich. ;) Know where I can get one of those?

I'm constantly running into these kinds of things. I think it's worse that I write so much more original fic than fanfic because when they're truly YOUR characters, so much more relates back to them, if that makes any sense. I had to fight laughter every time I looked at the menu.

Hah. Gimme about two more chapters and I'm thinking I'll have you covered. :D
