Summary: Zayne is suffering from a bit of uncharacteristic heartache.  He turns to his iPod for solace.
Author’s Notes: Written for the October song challenge at 1_million_words.  The song I chose was What I’d Say, originally performed by Earl Thomas Conley but, since I find it hard to believe Zayne would be listening to 1980’s-era country, I choose to believe he has Gary Allan’s remake on his iPod.  Also, near the end, I threw in a bit from one of my current favorite songs, Better in Boots by Tyler Farr (unlike our two detectives, I AM a fan of country music – I blame it on Texas, just like Mark Chesnutt).  Lastly, because I’m a dork and because I’ve also spent some time in Texas, I’ve always wanted a pair of Lucchese boots, so I went searching for something for Reyes to drool over and found these.
