Author’s Note: Written for the three sentence fic challenge at 1_million_words.  Day 14’s prompt was: “Our mugs are made of pewter.”  I’m getting better at keeping these short, I think.

"Look, our mugs are made of pewter," Jaskier said jovially.

"Jaskier, they are made of wood," Geralt corrected, holding his in front of the bard's face.

"No, Geralt," Jaskier sighed, pointing to the wall where the wanted posters hung, "our mugs are literally made of pewter."

Geralt made a face, but resisted uttering the one word that could express all his frustration.

"My, my, does this mean we've learned some restraint?"

Geralt simply grunted and finished off his ale in one swallow.
