“Reyes,” Hilary called as they entered the homicide division. “There’s a whore here to see you.”

Zayne blinked, taken aback by Hilary’s tone. “I’m – I’m sorry, what did you just say?”

“I believe she said there was a woman of ill repute awaiting your attention.”

“Yeah, I got that, Zek,” Zayne drawled. “What I was hoping for was a little more specificity.”

Because you just know Zayne would need clarification. Not sure digging up this WIP was a good idea now. Hahahaha.

Also I love that Hilary says "whore" and Andy says "woman of ill-repute". Just says soooo much about their characters!

Yes, well, she's one of Zayne's (many) exes, so that explains Hils response. (Although you are right about their characters.)
