The first of which is I apparently cannot spell PROBLEMS. *sigh* Yes, I swear, English really is my first language.

The second is a bookish issue. One of my all-time favorite authors has a new book coming out in about ten days. He's one of the few I break down and spend good money on hardcover copies (mainly for the Todd Lockwood cover art). I can even order a signed copy from his website. The problem? I'm a good ten books behind in that series. Which is pathetic BECAUSE I HAVE ALL THE BOOKS.

What is my life?

Seriously though, I'm tempted to pre-order every time damn Amazon suggests it to me. *grr* On the bright side, it's one of the few books that would not get me harassed by my husband for buying. I mean, I'm holding on to twenty-year-old paperbacks that are falling to pieces because I've had them for so long.

Guess I need to finally finish reading Promise of the Witch-King so I can move on with this damn series and justify buying my book! Jarlaxle, you flighty thing, I'm coming for you!

Like I said, first world problems.

On a semi-related side note, I just realized that the only authors I buy in hardback are all fantasy authors - R. A. Salvatore, Terry Brooks, Terry Goodkind, Tad Williams - but that's mostly because my husband will read those and he's not always Kindle-ready. Although, if there ever was a genre made for e-books, it is fantasy. I'm looking at you, Tad Williams, and your quartet of 600+ pages books. I still have those damn doorstops upstairs in my closet because I'm too lazy to carry them down to donate.

AND NO I DO NOT HAVE AMAZON OPEN IN ANOTHER TAB. I DO NO KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.

This has been your pointless message of the day. Go forth and spread some dark elf love.

End note: why isn't 'conflicted' a mood choice?

Does your author do book tours? I would rather get a signed copy in person. And if it takes you years to get caught up with the reading and someday you can get a book signed, then that's okay.

HAPPY THURSDAY!

He does, just never on this coast. Well, except for ComiCon appearances and I'm not braving that madhouse for a book. :D It's weird though, because I'm good not getting it but Amazon and Facebook are like HEY GUESS WHAT TIMELESS IS ALMOST OUT YOU KNOW YOU WANT IT. And yeah, I do, but my backlog... *sigh*

You're right though - signed books in person are so much better.

Happy Thursday! And I'm so thankful that this is my Thursday struggle. LOL

I am just shaking my head and LOLing. But you know it's because I have similar issues (not this precise one, but, eh).

I WOULD WANT IT TOO. Why do our husbands have to be so funny about books? Mine thinks we'll have a sort-out one day and most of them will go. HAHA. He has no clue.

My issue today is coffee and just because, I think I'm going to post about it. Stay tuned.

Right? Even if it's not the same issue, we can all relate.

Mine just has to harass me about everything because he's annoying. OMG, yours is delusional if he thinks the books are going!

ROFL - I'm glad you got the coffee thing off your chest!
