Day 5: List five places you want to visit.
I’m sure you guys can probably guess a few of these, but here we go anyway.
1. Ireland. I’ve long had a fascination with this country. I’m not sure when or why it started, but it’s one of the top places I want to visit someday.
2. Germany. My grandfather was born in Germany and emigrated to the US when he was a kid. In addition to at least some of my roots being tied to that country, there is so much to see and experience that it calls to me.
3. Romania. Although… it’s about as politically stable as the US is right now sooooo… I might just put this one off for a bit. But seriously, this is a place I’ve been obsessed with since a kid. It started with Dracula and has only spiraled outward from there.
4. Hawaii. My then-boyfriend-now-husband went when we were in high school and loved it. My mom has been twice and couldn’t get enough. Although I’ve never been much of a beach person, I think that Hawaii would be a wonderful experience.
5. Chicago. Despite having been born in rural Illinois, I’ve never been to Chicago. My dream is to see a daytime Cubs game and sit in the bleachers but that might just be nostalgia talking.
Of the five listed, Chicago might be the only one I ever manage. Although, if my kid sticks with her desire to visit Croatia, maybe I’ll get to Romania, too?
