Yeah, so I think I jinxed myself when I said I hadn’t missed a day. *headdesk*
Day 12: Write about five blessings in my life.
1. My family. Even when they’re driving me nuts, they’re always there for me.
2. My internet ‘family’ for the same reasons. With the added bonus of not having to have Sunday dinner with y’all when I’m not in the mood.
3. Books. They are my escape when things get tough.
4. Writing. It’s often my way of working out the issues that I’m having in real life without the added complexities of say law enforcement. Hah.
5. My pets. There is something so comforting about coming home to a critter that depends on you every night. Their only expectations are food, water, a clean habitat, and a little love. Easy, simple relationships. The cuddling is just a bonus.
Day 13: What am I excited about?
New year, new start. This past year has been tough and I think I let it get to me more than I should. So, I’m moving forward, trying to be more positive.
Also, BOOKS. I have a ton to read and that always makes me happy. I’m focusing on the books I already have so that I can move some of these things out of the house.
My little one’s birthday is on Friday, so I’m excited about that. She’ll be 17! And then, next month, my older girl will be 19, so that ought to be exciting as well.
I’m also hoping we hear back from the transplant team after the new year. T’s got all his requirements covered and hopefully they’ll send him to committee soon. Cross your fingers, please!
