It's been a day, but that's not why I'm writing.

I'm not exactly ready to talk about the shit I'm dealing with yet, so all y'all get a break. But, I'm trying to clean out my inbox that piled up over the weekend and find a message from Wattpad. For those who don't know (or care), I put the first several White Pine fics up on WP as a test to see if they'd get any interest. I haven't had a lot of hits, but enough to know that the stories are being enjoyed.

Anyway, I got a comment notification email, opened it, and this was the comment:

Your English is impeccable, this is one of the most concise works I've read so far.

Um, thank you? I probably shouldn't find this so funny (I mean, I work construction - the guys I work with can't put a basic sentence together), but I was cackling when I read this. I haven't actually read anything else on the site, but I'm now wondering if it's full of angsty teens and English-as-a-second-language writers?

(Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking non-native speaker, English is a bitch of a language to learn.)

So yeah, A+ comment for me. Hahaha.

ETA: I noticed in my tag list daniel+dora and I have no idea what that is. BRB, gonna go search my tags.

I tried once to read something on WattPad and gave up after like 5 sentences because it was that bad. Oh man was it bad.

I was just looking for another place to put my original work. I put some up on FictionPress and got zero response. But I've gotten some good feedback on Wattpad. I often feel bad, but I have so many books and things to be writing or watching that actually reading something on Wattpad falls by the wayside. LOL

Eh, it's okay. I was overly stressed yesterday, but I think I've got a handle on it now. But I appreciate it. :)

If you're looking for somewhere to put your original fic, may I suggest writing.com? I've been a member for almost 16 years and I love the community. I can undertstand reading falling by the wayside.

Yeah, you pointed me there before but I've never posted simply because I can only have a handful of things posted at any one time. And... with as much as I write, that's not really ideal. But I appreciate it.

For free you can only have a few things. If you go up in membership, even to just a basic, you get a larger portfolio. But trust me I understand the money thing. *shrugs* No biggie. I just wanted you to see the option.
