Well, that hasn't happened in a while...

My office line is one number off from that of the Excalibur Hotel & Casino. There was a time when I'd get numerous calls a day wanting to make a reservation. One person even argued that they did not call the wrong number because directory assistence connected the call.

Okay, sure then go ahead and give me your credit card number, name as it appears on the card, expiration - wait, why did you hang up?

Anyway, a lady just called and I explained she had a wrong number and, becuase I know it by heart at this point, I gave her the number for Excalibur. She says, "That's what I dialed" and, when I told her what she had dialed, she laughed and said, "Are you a hotel, too?"

No, sorry, I'm a plumber. Hahaha.

I couldn't help it, it made me laugh.

We had a man call C this morning asking if we were (Town) welding, she told him we weren't, but that we were welders, and he asked her for the number to the other place. So being the kind of customer we desperately want, she gave him their number. Then he called right back asking for someone specific who works there (we do know him). She told him that he called us again and he said no, he called the number she gave him.

Yeah,

OH GOD. It's annoying, but funny at the same time.

I get something similar a lot - a project manager from one of our contractors will call and ask for someone and then realize he's called the plumber and not the electrician or something similar. Now those, I get to laugh at.

HAPPY LONG WEEKEND! Monday is a double happy day as it'll be six weeks post-surgery for Troy. Slowly, but surely, we're getting there.
