June Update

I’m a little behind but then, what the heck else is new?
TV-wise, I was pretty boring. What I got through was:
Hawaii Five-0 Season 8
The Affair (most of) Season 1
Schitt’s Creek Seasons 1 & 2
Phoenix Forgotten – a movie my 19-year-old suggested I watch about the disappearance of three kids in Phoenix in the 1990’s. Creepy movie was made creepier because it’s based on a true story.
I started watching Schitt’s Creek while waiting for the Netflix DVDs to arrive. It’s a funny show full of horrible people. But I like Eugene Levy and his son, Dan Levy, is too freaking funny with his facial expressions. Currently, I’m still working on Schitt’s Creek and waiting for Noir, an anime, to arrive. Also need to rewatch Comrade Detective for reasons.
Book-wise, I didn’t do too badly, finished 6 books in June.
Sweet Tea and Secrets by Joy Avon – book 2 in the A Tea and Read series. Fun little cozy mystery.
I’ll Never Tell by Catherine McKenzie. A family thriller full of secrets and lies.
Contractor by Natasha Wallace. Basically PWP in ebook form rather than fanfic. LOL
A Crafter Hooks a Killer by Holly Quinn. Book 2 in A Handcrafted Mystery series. Another cute little cozy. This was much better than the first, thankfully.
Look Alive Twenty-Five by Janet Evanovich. Book #25 in the Stephanie Plum series. These books never fail to make me laugh and god did I need this book last month.
My Brother’s Husband Volume 1 by Gengoroh Tagame. A really sweet and sad manga about a guy whose estranged gay brother dies and his husband comes to visit him and his daughter. I have got to track down the second volume as my library doesn’t have it.
So far in July, I’ve read a lot of manga. LOL But I have The Wives by Tarryn Fisher I’m reading as well as The Last Wish: The Witcher Saga by Andrzej Sapkowski.
Something new for this month: my fitness success! I got an email detailing my progress for June and here is what it told me:
Total Workouts: 18 (this is cycling and stretching combined, I haven’t done any of the strength or yoga yet).
Total minutes: 268
Total miles traveled: 53.5
Calories burned: 1,741
Not too shabby for only getting the bike on June 14th. Next month it’ll tell me if I’m up or down from June so that ought to be interesting (for me anyway, y’all probably won’t care lol).
That’s pretty much the extent of everything happening in my life. Yeah, I know, it’s a rip-roarin’ good time, eh?
