Kids...

Or maybe just my kids?

So, last night, I was reading an email from a friend and she committed one of my biggest pet peeves. She used 'text' as a verb but didn't conjugate it like one. In other words, she said, "Connie text me to say..."

No, no, no! She TEXTED you. SHE. TEXTED. YOU.

LOL

Yeah, I know this is stupid and petty, but when you like to nitpick and criticize other people's grammar and spelling, you probably shouldn't be making such a big mistake. And I'm not talking things that are obviously typos or difficult grammatical rules. This is simple subject verb agreement!

Anyway... I'm telling this to Troy and Taylor last night and Tay sighs and says, "Man. Writers." She looks at me and says, "Yes, you."

#guilty

Hope you're all enjoying your Saturday. I need to put on my big girl pants and go to the store. *sighs*

(Kinda surprised I didn't already have a 'kids' tag... lol)

ROFL! This is true.

Although apparently I'm already hindering my kids' strive for independence and keeping them from developing common sense and problem solving skills by taking their phone calls (which are rare) while I'm driving. According to someone I was having a conversation with this morning, I'm supposed to let it go to voice mail and if it's a real problem they can call 911. Because you know, when it's raining and the bus doesn't show, it's the HPD's responsibility to get my kid to school. *insert eye roll here*

So, I guess I am Beverly Goldberg - a failure as a mom! LOL

I would have flipped about the same thing so #doubleguilty!

My day was great until I was making a left turn and got t-boned. I’m fine—well sore and bruised according to the ER. But the car is pretty banged up. I’ll see more tomorrow.

It's SO DUMB but it bugs me so much. LOL

Oh ouch! Glad you're okay! That happened to Troy and I quite a few years ago. Guy blew a red light and slammed us so hard that my day planner - it was on the floor by my feet - wound up in the intersection. Hopefully you can get the car repaired and back to you soon.

Ugh and you should SEE some of the things my students write!

I am... just have some epic bruises on my arm! They're going to repair it, but it'll probably take them a while with Christmas. Good thing I leave the day after Christmas for my sister's.

Yeah, but they're KIDS, not fifty-plus year old women who swear they're well educated. LOL

Hopefully it won't take too long to get it fixed and back to you. I was in an accident years ago right before Thanksgiving and it took two months to get my car back. Ugh.

True. My biggest problem is my kids don't WANT to learn it.

They're saying by the end of next week... so around the 10th? I hope. I'll pick up the rental Sunday. Since Mom got hit by a police car so the body shop has TWO of our cars now.

I think that's pretty normal. My boss and co-workers are always asking me to show them how to do something. Two days later, I'm doing it again because they didn't pay attention the first time.

I hope it's ready. Oh no, that's not fun. I hope she's okay.

Yes! My grandma is always asking me to come over and fix her computer... I get there and it's always something simple. LOL sounds like my life.

I hope so also, but I now have a rental car until the 14th. She's okay. We have to get a new carseat for my niece that lives here. (Since the kiddo was in the car.) She just clipped his bumper.

Well, at least your grandma is older not... like born during the technology age. LOL I mean, I'm only 5 years younger than my youngest co-worker.

Glad that she's okay. Yeah, can't continue to use a car seat that's been in an accident, not worth the risk to your niece.

This is true. LOL that's funny.

Yeah she's good and she has her car back already. Mine won't be back until the 18th, maybe the 16th (which means I pick it up Friday if that's the case). I have a call intil the insurance company to get the rental extended.
