Title: Shopaholic Gets Picky
Fandom: Romani Detective Original Fiction
Pairing: Andrej Zeklos/Zayne Reyes
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 412

Zayne flicked through the Pottery Barn catalogue and frowned. “Who the hell would actually buy this crap? That’s way too girly, even for most of the women I know.” He tossed the catalogue onto the coffee table and picked up the next.
“Hmm,” he said, “this is better. That’s more masculine at least. Oh, a reclaimed barnwood bed frame? I like it.” He folded down the corner of the R. C. Willey catalogue and continued flipping through the pages.
“Mmm, I like that but the narco would have a fit,” Zayne said as he eyed the peach colored leather chair. “Looks comfy, too, but he’d whine about how it made him look washed out. Not my fault he’s so damn white.”
“Are you enjoying yourself,” Andrej said, hanging his jacket in the closet. He added his shoes next. “Find anything you like yet?”
“Yeah,” he said, smiling. “I have. But first, did you have a good time?”
“I did,” Andrej said, moving a pile of furniture catalogues off the cushion so he could sit. “Lunch was very nice.”
“And the girls?”
“They both said to tell you hello,” he said, leaning into Zayne’s strong body.
Zayne lifted his arm and cuddled Andrej against his body. “I bet that’s not all they said,” he joked.
“Indeed,” Andrej replied, but left it at that. “Will I need to take out a loan to refurnish my home?”
“Nah,” Zayne said, kissing the top of Andrej’s head. “I was just looking. What you have is excellent, I wouldn’t change a thing.”
“Nothing?”
“Well, maybe your bed,” Zayne said, reaching for the catalogue he’d seen his favorite in. “Because I think this is really nice.”
Looking at the photo, Andrej nodded. “That is very nice. You know, there is one of these stores not far from here. Would you like to go look at it?”
“Really,” Zayne asked, shocked that Andrej would even consider it.
“Sure,” he replied. “It is a small thing, letting you choose the bed. Plus, it will go nicely with the furniture I already have, so I will not have to refurnish my entire bedroom.”
Zayne put the catalogue aside and wrapped both arms around Andrej. “You are way too good to me,” he said, kissing his boyfriend. “Let me go get boots.”
Andrej laughed as Zayne disappeared down the hall. He knew he was too good to his partner sometimes, but that was only because Zayne deserved it. Usually. Mostly. Okay, sometimes.
