July Movie/TV Catchup

I probably ought to cut back on my TV time. Oops.
What I Watched
Avatar the Last Airbender. Finished season 1 and all of season 2. One more season to go! And then I see Netflix is also getting The Legend of Korra in mid-August as well.
Criminal: UK. This turned out not to be too awful. But not the best crime show I’ve watched either.
Hamilton. Taylor insisted and it was actually really good.
Captain America: Winter Soldier
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1 & 2
9-1-1 season 3.
A Whisker Away. This was a cute and bizarre anime and I highly recommend it. Reminded me of Spirited Away a bit (which is weird AF too, if you’ve ever seen it).
Batman Forever. Reading Val Kilmer’s memoir made me go on a hunt for all of his movies. I had a few, managed to acquire a few more. This was the first I grabbed because I had fond memories of what a friend lovingly referred to as ‘the Bat Butt’. It was actually kind of an awful movie, but still enjoyable.
L. A. Confidential. Rec’d by Dreamy and I really enjoyed it.
Avengers: Age of Ultron
Ant-Man. I could watch this movie once a month for the rest of my life. I love Paul Rudd and this movie is too darn funny (mostly because of Michael Pena lol).
How Do You Know. Funny story about this. It stars Paul Rudd, Reese Witherspoon, and Owen Wilson. Taylor found it on Netflix the evening I finished watching Ant-Man (earlier that morning). I got a double dose of my boo that day. Hahaha.
Captain America: Civil War
9-1-1 Lonestar. I’m only three episodes in and am enjoying it. Rob Lowe’s character is a trip and Liv Tyler’s voice annoys me. I don’t remember her sounding like that before but then, I think the only things I’ve ever seen her in are Empire Records and that Bruce Willis movie that I’m forgetting the name of currently.
*Note to self: find DVD copy of Empire Records. NOT TODAY! NOT ON REX MANNING DAY!
Top Chef: finished season 5, watched season 6, started season 7. I’m starting to see Tom Collichio in my dreams.
What’s on Deck:
Finishing 9-1-1 Lonestar
Killing Eve season 2
Finish my Marvel re-watch
Shut Eye
Rewatch of Prodigal Son for research purposes
At least two off the stack of DVDs by my desk, most likely The Doors and possibly Heat
I guess now I know why I didn’t read as much this month. Well, that and knocking out nearly 33k words.
