Monday Kitty Fun

Because it's Monday and we need something to smile about, right?

So, last night, Sunny stole my chair while I was at my computer.



A little while later, I see Nayla get up from her spot on the couch and move towards the footstool. I figure that's where she's going to plop herself down because, well, there was a pillow and a blanket there. Kitty comfort heaven, right? Well, no, she proceeded to take her furry self into my chair... where Sunny was still sleeping.

While I was expecting a smackdown, I got this instead:

Poor Sunny. She looks SO put upon, doesn't she? But she sat there and let Nayla groom her for a good ten minutes.

Yes! Nayla took to Sunny pretty quickly, it's Violet she shuns. LOL

Aw, thank you! Sunny is pretty average-sized (only around 9 lbs), but Nayla is huge (a good 12 lbs). And fluffy.

We had a couple boys once who were like 15 pounds each. I miss them. <3

Buddy, when he was at his healthiest, was 18 lbs. He was barely 10 when we had to let him go. :( But I love a big, floofy cat like that so I can imagine how much you miss them.

Looks like something Daisy would do. She loves to mother hen me, Bonita and the kittens.

I've even caught Emma doing that to the kittens when they were younger.

It's funny because you'd NEVER see Nayla grooming Violet like that.

The other day Roscoe was walking in the hall and Hades reared up like he was gonna pounce. And then? Roscoe looked at him so he just kind of patted Roscoe on the back.

My stepfather had a Dalmatian that would eat the bark off the trees in his back yard so I'm not honestly surprised. My in-laws' dog, Deke, eats the pods that fall off the mesquite trees.
