My crew & a funny thing

So, my child texts me this picture yesterday...

...and I cracked the heck up.



That's Taylor and Nayla, by the way. I'm rather impressed with how well the cat is posing with her, honestly.

And then our Rescue Box arrived last night, chock full of Christmas-themed cat toys. I got a second good laugh out of this toy:



GINGERBREAD MAN! What's even funnier is that I've been joking with sharpiesgal about how Violet is Zayne in feline form, so I about lost my mind when she flopped on the ground and started rubbing her face all over the gingerbread man toy.

That's my Friday report. How are you today? Ready to party?

So happy that it is Friday. This was a long week.

The pic of your daughter and the cat is amazing. Animals never want to pose for pictures for me, they are too excited to be petted/played with, LOL.

"Reyes, what are you doing?" James asked as he caught Zayne rubbing a gingerbread man against his face.

"Zek made gingerbread cookies and I'm just enjoying them," Zayne explained before taking a bite out of the cookie.

"So you molest cookies now, before you eat them?"

"Only the gingers," Zayne said, holding out the one he'd been nibbling. "See, red hair."

"And a giant, oh god, Zayne. Why?"

"Jay, don't ask," Andrej called from the kitchen. "The world is not ready for whatever his reasons are."

Jay carefully considered Andy's answer and decided to err on the side of caution. "You have fun with him, Reyes," he said and then joined Andy in the kitchen.

"You know I will," Zayne said, licking the gingerbread man's crotrch.

With a sigh, Andrej wiped his hands on the nearest towel and yanked the cookie out of Zayne's hand. "No more for you. Out of my kitchen."
